Every other class has a nice movement ability, but here we are with mages stumbling upon the smallest pebbles on the ground when they blink. Why is this still a thing after so many years? Also I often disconnect when blinking from a flying mount (it has been happening for years and is not related to the recent disconnects some people are having).
Blink is quite good as it is. They way I blink from a flying mount is I dismount in air and then I blink before I hit the ground so I don’t turn into a pancake. It has never failed.
But well it could be nice to be able to blink forward into empty air, instead of always just blinking across the floor. That way you could blink back if you get knockbacked of a platform, because as of now it only works if you’re still above the floor when you blink, because if there’s no floor beneath you blink doesn’t move you forward.
I’d love for Blink to be targetted, like Heroic Leap for example.
That’d make it way better as you can dodge fire bad mechanics however you like.

Make shimmer remove stuns. If i can’t dmg ooga booga neirher should they.
Shimmer is one of the most powerful spells in the game. It’s a huge part of mage survivability in end game content. There’s very few spells in the game that can instantly save you, off the gcd and you don’t even stop dps! If you want a dash use greater invis and the run faster talent when invis talent.
That is not the point - of course Blink and Shimmer are technically strong abilities. My frustration comes from the fact that even very small objects block the pathing and meanwhile literally any other class could jump over it.
