Yesterday I was trying to add new card to my account. Ive tried it once - Error, switched off adblock (as tips on forum suggest)- try no.2 - Error for 3rd time Ive switched from Firefox to freaky Edge and finally managed to add card to my accout (For 1 Euro lol, didnt seen anywhere else so i must pay for adding card. :D) Purchased 1 monts sub from this card and after 8+ hours my Wow Account is still Inactive and money are gone. So now iam in loop, where Iam without Wow and my money are fyling somewhere in Twisting nether or what, because i cant see transaction in History. Very nice!!! Iam happy. English is not my fist leanguage and i feel like it will be some exhausting process to get things right.
It can take up to 72 hours for payments to process, this is down to banking processes and not Blizzard. The money is in holding during that time.
The same kind of thing happens when you pay for items by debit or credit cards in a shop, the money doesn’t go directly to the shop but is held for up to 72 hours, you see it as gone from your account but the shop only see’s it as a pending payment due. The main difference between the shop and Blizzard is that the shop will let you take your goods as the promise of payment is there but Blizzard won’t let you have use of services until the payment has completed just in case anything goes wrong during that 72 hours of “payment pending”
I always use Paypal for my Blizzard purchases and have so far never had an issue with waiting for pending payments so that might be something you could look into using in the future?
Thanks for response! Ok i will play something else until its complete. And will setup Paypal as priority. Iam not using it too much, but if it works better… Lets make out lives easier. Thanks!
Hey Bobkotrmelec,
Sorry to hear that you’re having issues getting into the game, I’ll try to clarify a few things.
This is a standard banking practice, which you can find on many other games / sites. This small temporary fee is there to ensure that you’re using a valid payment method (you’re never actually charged for this).
If your WoW account is still inactive after trying to buy a subscription, this usually means that your bank declined the payment on their end.
You can try going through Paypal as Afenton advised, or you can try buying prepaid game time from the shop directly (or you can retry the subscription with your card, but contact your bank if the issue persists).
That’s not quite correct. We don’t make players wait 3 days before they’re able to play, as this would be rather a frustrating experience for pretty much everybody.
A payment can take up to 24 hours to be validated on our side (once we verify that the payment is valid, and that your bank has accepted it). Please note that this is something that usually takes a few minutes for the vast majority of players.
