Had this situation in the U.K since November, haven’t heard of any problems thus far. Maybe different in the EU or other countries, which is why I suggest contacting Blizzard and see what they have in place.
Well yeah there is a solution, and it’s to buy 2 months game time instead of one, that’s the only option
Subbing (1 month) via Paypal only works if you have a Creditcard.
Even if you have plenty of Paypal balance, won’t work without a Visa/Mastercard.
According to Paypal, this is 100% on Blizzard’s end.
We are open for suggestions sure.
The situation is simple.
The beancounters found out that some people could somehow use Blizzard balance to get game time for a discount and they did not wanted the “Horned One” to lose some hundred thousands dollars from that.
The 30 days via the game time option had been brought in the game for the players convenience until it became inconvenient for the company
Thank you, people really dont get it
Then buy two months, its the same in the end, just budget the change in cost in to future calculations.
So I take it you haven’t contacted Blizzard then? Maybe they have another solution for you?
Why do you want me to contact them ? The options are right there lol, and that’s the point, they’re forcing us into buying 2 months
The only problem I have is that I have 23 euros balance left from a birthday card…a 2 month sub costs 25 so 2 euros short which you can’t just add and a token costs 20 which imo is too expensive for a months play…
Maybe to see if there may be other options available to you, or carry on complaining?
So you want them to find me something that doesnt exist
Unfortunately, thats the same set up with nearly all companies, they set their prices at such rates that require more than one purchase of tokens etc.
How do you know it doesn’t exist if you haven’t put your case to Blizzard? You just seem to be unhappy with the situation, yet refuse to do something that may help!
All the options are available on the website, what exactly do you want them to find ? I’m so confused
Yes confused is an understatement, I don’t know what they may find, I don’t work for Blizzard, but where is the harm in asking them about your situation? Again you just seem to be unhappy about the whole thing, but happy to complain about it.
Of course I’m unhappy about it, they took an option and gave nothing back, and on top of that are forcing us to subscribe for 2 months at a time instead of one, all that while in a huge content drought
So, get in touch and ask them if they have looked at the situation you are in, and if they have any plans going forward to address that…
Or just carry on moaning?
The forums are the place to discuss this stuff, GM’s have no power to do anything regarding this issue, literally no power at all
So quite content then just to sit here and do nothing but complain? No thoughts of contacting anybody who may give a clearer insight into what I assume affects many people?
Edit…just seen you made your own thread on the subject.
Explains it all. I’m done.
Like who ? Please tell me, the forums are there for feedback, tell me who else I should contact that would actually make a difference
@Farwin: I am not sure, if this idea helps, but have you spoken with your bank? Most banks have several different types of cards available for their customers. Maybe they could offer you a different kind of card than your current one? Also, depending on your country and circumstances, if you have some savings, you may be able to get a credit card even if your income level is low or you are unemployed. After all, you could ask for a very low credit limit. I think you might even do with a credit limit of 50 or 100 euros / month.
