Blizz Support still exist?

Call me old fashion, call me crying baby but I miss the times when you opened ticket and received answer in 2/5 min and not on email or ,dead, in game mail that you can’t reply to but actually Blizz GM whispered you with blue text. I opened ticket about quest being bugged and for past 2/3 days now still no one came back. I miss the times when GM’s was actual players who cared how game works because they played it them selfs and not just some administrator sitting in office front of PC copy pasting pre-written script text… and often closing the ticket without resolving the actual issue.

I think they closed down the Versailles Blizzard hq (EU) and probably got rid of staff. I’m not sure and could be wrong.

You are correct - since they shut down the Versailles office, customer support has gone right down the pan

Funny, i remember a time when you could actually call customer service - god i feel old!

Yea they swapped it out for Callback service for certain issues instead. So players don’t need to wait hours in queue but will be called back at a later office time.

nowadays they have more income than in 2004/08 and less staff makes no sense

Yes, they still exist, just no longer in the form as we ‘knew’ them. Gone are the times of actually communicating with someone.

Currently it is the very minimum of staff, that likely doubles up to other tasks as well, so they are often surly and in a hurry get on with your ticket.

  • You get automated responses, AI or just scripted answers.
  • You get copy-pasta responses.
  • After you reopen your ticket a few times, you get something other than: “Go to WoWhead for help and advice from other players!” Usualy a “Your ticket has been solved”, forcing you to go through the process yet again, gambling on getting a support staff that got a good day at work.

Don’t forget: as you actually are not in direct communication with the support. You got to re-explain your problem every ticket. As they do not have time read what has been written previously… The repeat answers is hell, especially when they don’t address the actual issue at all.

So - Do does it exist? Yes, only in very TAURENPOO form.
Does it exist like in the good times of old, when customer support mattered? No. Long dead.

So all that talk on Blizzcon that they care is a Lie? Cuz it seems like it.

My guess is support tickets are for issues that need immediate attention from a GM. A bugged quest should be a bug report as it affects everyone.

Which quest btw?

Is it about this issue? (I have 39 and most of my guildies are missing a few too).

yeah and not just that they closed down multiple offices / plans to have local support etc. a few years ago . maybe they can expand again with now microsoft is in charge but i’m not sure if the issues around CS are known by the parent company

CS is horrendous now, any ticket you create gets a copy/paste response… a response where they clearly didn’t bother reading beyond glancing at the applied category.
