So, to start out I guess I should just ask why it is possible to get SOME lost legendaries back from the vendor in the void bank area, but not others? You can get everything back from this vendor EXCEPT the 2 legendaries that are no longer in the game … this doesnt make much sense? I have the achievement for Atiesh on my account so the proof of ownership is there.
Can we please get a fix for this ? I want my Atiesh back
And so onto the story of how this could even happen, since you cant vendor or destroy legendaries without actually typing DELETE into the delete window that pops up.
I started playing again during TWW:S1 after 5 years away from the game … after a short while I noticed something very wrong … my precious Atiesh, amounst other things, was missing :x not in bags or bank or voidbank or anywhere. After speaking to support thru tickets some times, I finally realised what happened:
So this is the story of my missing Atiesh
After killing Jaina during Bfa expansion, I quit the game due to needing more time for my young family. I didnt activate WoW again untill August 30th 2023 (I think this is around 4 years away from the game) When I reactived my account, it was because a friend had convinced me to play classic with him. I tried, and tried some hardcore aswell, but I was never really interested in classic since I had played the game since vanilla already. I soon quit again, BUT I did go into my main retail account (this account that is missing Atiesh) and logged onto my warlock, just to have a little look (who wouldnt right?)
I used the free gear up thing, entered the game and spawned in front of a quest giver in Orgi, and was overwhelmed by the mass of quests and systems I didnt know, the lack of addons I couldnt remember and after less than 5mins I thought “nah f this” … and I logged out again, not returning before TWW shortly before season 2.
And this is why my Atiesh is gone! Because blizzard, MOVED MY ATIESH OUT OF MY BAGS AND TO THE MAILBOX ! Obviously, this mail was then deleted because I didnt return to the game for another year or so.
I had no idea the free “gear up” process would empty my bags into the mailbox, I had never used it before, was given NO WARNING about this, and so was completely unaware of the fact that blizzard was in the process of destroying everything I had in my bags, including my Atiesh, Thunderfury, T3 ring, sawbones shirt and everything else that I cant remember but sure am sad that I lost because there was without a doubt some other rare and unobtainable items in my bags from the “good 'ol days” before toys and such.
I cant help but feel that you, blizzard, must take some (most of, if not all) of the blame for this ! you took my items out of my bags and it was destroyed in the void of eternal mail, and gave no warning about this.
In conclusion, simply, this is a travesty not of my doing and I cant understand there isnt a system in place to fix something like this. It cant be data heavy to have text files with a list of items lost in mail. I still have the rest of my T3 since it was in my bank. I have a equipment profile ingame that shows my missing “sawbones shirt” and I managed to get my Thunderfury back from the vendor in void bank area.
