Just ignore them, these Night-elves are so edgy, no wonder why the Nightborne joined the Horde.
Night Elves complaining about having weak lore where Taurens are useless tree-huggers that never accomplished anything since forever
Baine is a jester of the Horde with zero respect and his people are nonexistent
Pity Sylvanas didnt burn Tauren capital to provide some lore for them. Its so meaningless that I forgot its name
What about Gnomes, Dwarves, Worgens, Trolls? We dont have anything for them… Leaders represent a race and entire population is ignored.
Where and how Darkspears are living now? They had only small meaningless island.
What about Worgen capital? Can we finally get new zone instead of being stuck in Cata?
Gnomeregan… Can we finally get it as capital?
Dwarves… Only Magni is visible and he barely is a dwarf at this moment.
Well, someone hasn’t done his homework yet.
Uh, that’s not quite right.
Everyone forgets the original name of our great city
The taurens loves to celebrate, and often it comes with singing and dancing… And our great capital was therefor named Civitate Chorus - but those awfull centaurs had to create a joke on our behalf
Saying how they thought they heard thunder in the distance, but we were only trying to bluff them to flee from a fake thunderstorm - And every time a tauren came near a centaur, they ran prenteding to be screaming in fear and calling to they friends how the fat cows would send thunder, lightning and mudslides whereever they pressed the earh -that is so mean
And some orc overheard the centaur talking about these bluffing thunder creaters and thought that was the name of the town - impossible to convince him it was called different
And so, in order not to confuse anyone, even us taurens had to go with the funny name created to mock or agile and beautiful celebration dance
It’s Thunder Bluff.
See!
But it’s ok, we have thick hides - we just have to bear with this… Thunder Bluff is the name
Yes, you had to kill a Raid level Mob, in a Raid Group. Then you had to win a roll to get that wolf. That rare mob was a wolf, in the Horde starting zone of WoD. Not so far from the Horde Garrison. Description of that mount does not has anything related to orcs.
Don’t you feel the differences, that Horde npc will stand in the Horde city, and just sell this Night Elves Night Saber with such description related to Nelfs, to every Horde player?
And he will just sell Night Elves racial mount, in the same addon where Night Elves were added to the Horde?
Raid level?! Gurl, it never been raid level, 5 people could kill it (people were making raids so everyone gets and it dies faster), by now you can one shot it.
I’m not saying about removing. I’m saying about moving. Just check unique things that Night Elves had:
- Druids.
- added to the Horde since Classic.
- Demon Hunters.
- added to the Horde since Legion.
- Wardens.
- added to the Horde since BfA.
- Sentinels.
- added to the Horde since BfA.
- Priestess of Elune. - well not exactly priestess, but still since BfA Blizzard have added trolls to the Horde that worship Elune.
- Night Elves ancient cities.
- Suramar added to the Horde since Legion.
- Unique emotions, dances, a way of swim etc.
- a new race that has everything like Nelfs, was added to the Horde since Legion.
- Night Sabers,
- added to the Horde since BfA.
Don’t you see that everything that is unique about Night Elves, Blizzard are adding to the Horde, for some reason?
And I think that this reason is what you have mentioned - players count! Night Elves has very big fan base. So Blizzard decided to remove everything that we love about Night Elves, their lands, their characters, everything unique about them. So that players could re-roll to the Horde.
Because what is the point to play Night Elf on the Alliance, if Horde has everything the same? Probably Tyrande and Malfurion are 2 last unique things, but probably they will soon be killed to remove last uniqueness.
You remind me of one of those DIscovery channel programs on aliens being in Egypt 3 thousand years ago.
You take things and twist them to fit your idea.
I could take things and make it look like Orcs are joining the Alliance, to start with the alliance have a wolf mount!
Druidism never was unique thing of Night elves, by some facts Cenarius taught Tauren how to druid but then they forgot.
Bet you have never been in the Black Temple and you don’t know the relationships between Kael and Illidan?
what an actual frick?!
That was picking the sweetest cherry from my comment, but to be honest, yes. These arguments, and they are not really arguments, just a series of rants without substance do make me question the age of the people making them. I know that is somewhat petulant of me myself, but…it is what it is…
I have done so, I have a Night Elf Druid at Legion level of experience (I’m focussing on alts who get Heritage armour at the moment)
I mean what are you asking for here? The Night Elves have an entire zone, Val’sharah pretty much all about them, in which they are victorious. The Night Elves win a victory in Suramar, they won in Hyjal against Staghelm and the Twilight Cult, they canonically have won the War of Thorns. This idea that somehow Night Elves have it worse than anyone else is simply not true…
Untrue.
So the Worgen still lost then, I mean losing your city because the enemy uses chemical warfare is -still- losing. Even -if- the Worgen do use stolen Blight to bomb the Forsaken.
He’s an alcoholic, his body is probably pretty used to toxins by now, but he had just been shot with a ‘Black Arrow’ I mean, if I were smart I wouldn’t hang around at that point. You have an arrow that has pumped harmful magic into your body…I’d be wanting to get to a healer, pronto, which he does!
This is what I mean about ‘Pity us’. Yeah. The Horde did. Know why? Because it was -The Horde- not just one race.If a coalition of eight races start a fight with one race, then generally, that one race is gonna have a tough time of it. War of Thorns? Repeat what I just typed last sentence, however this time the one race doesn’t even have its full army, but you expect them to have won?
No it doesn’t? I mean I know we get over exposed to NIght Elves, but no it doesn’t
Again, That simply isn’t true. I’ve two Alliance characters at 120, I’ve done it all, and that just ain’t how it is.
Yeah sure it is. Apart from the ones where you have to wait for the Alliance to ride in and help you on their big white charger, wearing a white hat to show they are the goodies? That isn’t what every single horde quest is about, -at all-. Listen to yourself. ‘Every single Horde quest’? I once picked up a bunch of starfish and a big shell, was that a heroic Horde victory? Or that time I literally had to rifle through animal dung to get some berries, or the one where we lost an entire air fleet, and then go and had to kill a load of Orcs, that was, surely a victory, right?
Come on, that just ain’t true.
OK, you’ve gotta be kidding me. You know what the Horde actually get? You think they get Suramar? Holy…right, The Horde get a tiny instanced room, it has a flower bed in it with some bushes. That’s it. The rest of Surmar is just the same as it is on Alliance. You say you want in game things, not being told you get nice things, well that’s it. The Horde get less actual land, for their race that is supposed to own a frickin city, than the Void Elves get for Telogrus Rift. Oh, Void Elves get buildings too! Some of those would be nice in Instanced Suramar, or like…chairs or something…
Horrible design, painful on the eyes, Seriously, you think Dazar’Alor is more appealing as a city than -Boralus!- which along with Gilneas is pretty much their team -nailing it!-
Highmountain? Horde don’t get anything special… Still the same old questing hub it was… then instanced. Still a crap city.
They always have? They’ve never lived in mudhuts? You know they’re made of stone and metal and wood, just like Alliance ones, right?
We can but wish, however we are not at that stage, by a long shot. Two words “Horde Garrison” Doesn’t matter what race you play, the architecture is Orc. Trolls, Tauren, Forsaken, Blood Elf, Goblin architecture might as well not exist…
However, moving swiftly on…
The Cenarion Circle would like to disagree with you on that matter…
TBC Expansion, particularly the bits around the Black Temple raid, would like to disagree with you on that matter…
We have no indication that they retain their powers, assuming they actually have any, beyond just being good at what they do, or is that the sole province of the Alliance.
We already have Farstriders, I’m sure a very few more won’t hurt.
Surely this should be a source of joy, that Faith in the Goddess is indeed held by others? I wonder, if you feel dismay at even your enemies showing faith in your Goddess, whether your faith is actually strong at all?
Well, perhaps a) The Night Elven leader should not have been an idiotic douchecanoe, b) The Night Elves should have black bagged Tyrande and got her away from talking to anyone in authority (Generally a good move) and tried to counter LIadrin’s propaganda, or…a weird one, not have taken steps that showed that the Kaldorei no longer welcomed, and pretty broadly abhorred the Shal’dorei way of life, to the extent that they exiled people out of it? Plus, Horde basically get a patio without any chairs or buildings. That’s it, if that is your idea of Bias, can we have some of those few tents in Telogrus Rift?
And yet…and yet, managing to break the racial model so that it looks awful. The only good thing about the Nightborne model is the Heritage Armour. But then, these are Elves who are closer to the Sin’dorei than the Kaldorei. I mean you know that right? The Kaldorei exiled people for being similar to Shal’dorei. Those people became the Sin’dorei. Do you not think the Shal’dorei would have went…“Wait, we have a lot in common with these guys, and nothing in common with those guys, apart from skin colour, plus, these guys have been nice to us, whereas those guys have kind of been douches to us, and insulted the woman who led our rebellion for freedom? Yeah, makes more sense to go with these guys, OK Liadrin, Take me to your leader!”
"Which is weird, because, I’m pretty sure Alliance could get Kodo’s long before BfA, oh, wait, there was that Hawkstrider mount in TBC, oh, and the Bony Pony from Stratholme, oh and the Raptors Alliance can get. but hang on, They could never get Trikes. Let us bow our heads in reverence at that fact. I mean, they can still buy a unique faction mount, whereas the Horde who supposedly won that contest, cannot…not sure how that works. Oh Hey, WoD? Yeah that’s…a lot of Horde mounts…given to Alliance. Yeah, this is weird. Hey Legion! Oh…Wait, I logged in on Horde, sorry, this is an Alliance expansion, I’ll see myself out. Oh Hey BfA! Oh great…rictus grin slowly fades So…These iconic Horde racial mounts, The Pterrodax and the Direhorn, they’re…Horde only, right?. “Almost, you have to earn them on a Horde character, then you get them even on Alliance!” “OK, so, the same applies with the Alliance only mounts, if I farm them on Alliance, I get them on all my characters?”
“No. They are Alliance only”
“Hang on, how is that…fair?”
“Shut up. Night Elves are suffering…”
Night Sabers as a mount. Seriously, you complain about -that-!
eww no you keep those filthy hippie elves
They literally just beat the Horde out of Darkshore and reclaimed it for themselves. At least in canon they did.
Yeah you do that !!! Flynn is human, and apparently Alliance, send over to me please thanks bye
Acting like the blood elf mount hasn’t dropped from heroic magisters terrace for over 10 years…
Not really. In interview they asked who won the Warfronts. Answer was that it was Alliance, who won a Warfront. We do not know was it Night Elves who managed to kick the Horde out, or was it Alliance footman’s that came to help during the Warfront battle. We do not know, did Horde left the location, or the battle still going on the Darkshores.
Hek, we do not know even did Night Elves finally kick those trolls on the north of Darkshores out from Nelfs lands for good this time.
By the fact, that small trolls tribe had a victory over Night Elves during one of the missions in War of the Thorns. Small, not playable Horde race has more victories shown in game over Alliance than Night Elves! When it comes to Night Elves, it always one liner somewhere in the Interview.
Victory that is hidden from the eyes of the most players!!!
There was one cut-scene dataminded in 2018 year, where its actually shown in game, where Night Elves celebrate in game a victory on Darkshores.
But suddenly someone in Blizzard decided, that this cut-scene should not be shown in game, and it was deleted…
Why? Just imagine how much this game could be different if Night Elves had one single victory shown in game!
b.t.w this thread is not about how hard Night Elves were punched. This thread is about a question - why Blizzard gives to the Horde all unique things that were unique for Night Elves and the Alliance!
Your right.
Night elves dont nearly got it as bad as i thought.
I still believe they got it worse then any other playable race and in need of a better story but nowhere near as much as i used too.
10% worse instead of a 100%.
Anything not shown in game doesnt mather.
Blizzard is recon happy so cannon has long since lost its value.
And unlike npc, lost land is a constant reminder of the pain of loss.
So until i see night elves in accauly control of there lands and alot of dead horde npc.
I do not consider those lands reclaimed.
In game events can also be retconned so by that logic absolutely nothing in the story matters.
Night elves are literaly the one non human race that gets the most attention out of all of the Alliance. You get several entire zones catered to you while Gnomes are still wondering when they get to do anything at all.
Ah yes the ancient Malaficus seal of canon approval. How was Blizzard so foolish as to not consider your standards when writting the lore of the game?
I fail to see what your checklist has to do with Night Elves being removed from the game. There isn’t a single link between any of what you have typed and the removal of a base race in World of Warcraft.
Night Elves are exactly the same as they were before. An Alliance race.
