Alliance could get wolf mounts in WoD, which is a very iconic ORC mount, and you can also get a Kodo in Darkshore, which is iconic for Tauren.
Super new characters and don’t mean anything at all.

They better not, I’m in favour of wiping elves out and removing them from the game as playable.
You lost some characters that were Completely friggin’ new that don’t matter. You still have Tyrande, Shandris, Maiev, Jarod and Malfurion, the only real Night elf characters that matters that you’ve ever had.

We got recently Nightborne (Night Elves, skeleton).
We are getting Vulpera.
If it’s true that the Horde is the most played faction in China, I wonder if they have anything to do with it.
I mean we are getting more and more Alliance look alike races.
It almost feels like some people want to play Alliance races in the Horde.
Is it because Horde races are ugly ?

Actually, just going to correct this. People often say this. For a start, it was Korean people. Secondly they have different cultural mores over there which mean that essentially the version of WoW they play, is a franchise and in many cases has no similarity to WoW in Oceania. This means that the two ‘types’ of WoW have nothing in common. They pay per hour, in the East, not by Subscription, they have -always- had different models, which have not always been transferred to the EU/US. Quite a few common mobs you would expect to see (and one whole race) are not there, because of cultural taboo.
One Ex- employee said they did a poll in Korea, and people liked the idea of a prettier race for the Horde.
That is as relevant as walking into Burger King and asking for a Big Mac. They’re two different entities, run entirely differently, with hardly anything in common bar the name of the franchise and the basic shape of the world.

As to this constant Night Elf Whining. We get it, you’re unhappy, we get it, ut when you say Blizzard ‘favours the Horde because they were mean to the Night Elves’ you are starting to sound like that meme guy from the ‘Leave Britney Alone!’ youtube video. I love the story and the lore, but I have just been so ….saturated…by this continual wail of misery from people maining Night Elves that I am starting to think “Yes! Yes! Kill them All! Shut up this incessant Pity Posting, It is daily and increasing! Can we just finally kill off this race, take the hit on the lost subs, it’ll be worth it for less threads whinging that Night Elves couldn’t fight the entire Horde with a fraction of their own army!”

No, Blizzard is not trying to put your favourite Pixels in the Horde. A rare few might be, but shucks, you got Goblins who are Alliance, and Blood Elves who are now Alliance, but I guess it only counts one way round, right? Go long enough back and neither Horde or Alliance means a Hot Damn.
So please, please, can we just be done with Night Elf Pity threads, I’d almost rather read a PvP imbalance thread or a ‘Nerf Druids NOW!’ thread…

Since classic, we had Alliance and the Horde. Each of them had their own unique mounts. In case you wanted to get a mount from opposite faction, you had to kill some boss and steal a mount from him. With a 0.0000000001 drop chance.
Yes, you could get some Night Elves sabers before. But now, in 8.3. there will be Horde NPC, in the Horde city, who will just stand there and SELL Night Elves Night Saber, to the Horde Players. With such description on him. You do not have to kill some rares. You do not have to kill some bosses. You will just by Alliance race mount from npc…
Or does Blizzard still count Night Elves as an Alliance?
Blizzard gave to the Horde a race that basically are Night Elves. They gave Hometown of Tyrande. They gave Wardens and Night Elves archers. And now they will give Night Sabers.
What unique thing Night Elves still have, which Blizzard did not gave to the Horde yet? Demon Hunters? Druids? Wardens? Elune maybe? In BfA Horde gain trolls druids that worship Elune…

The “pity” threads wont end until blizzard accauly allows the night elves a major victory over the horde without the useall alliance flaws of massive casualties or being a horde victory in disguise.
Really blizzard is going to have to give the night elves fans something they can be proud off or these threats will never end.
Personaly i would recommend the entire alliance to just rerolled horde.

If you want to have fun in the game: Play horde.
Might aswhile ALL play the same faction and get rid of factions that way.
I mean they both already look the same.
Both have furries, both have muscual man, both have skiny people with pointy ears, both are almost the same.
Only thing alliance still has over the horde is nicer looking cities.
And i am sure that is next on the list of stuff the horde gets over the alliance.
You are absolutely right. Just remember that for a lot it’s the opposite as well. Personally I don’t ser the issue with night elfs atm but hope people get what they want :3
So let me just get this straight. Until Blizzard give 1 race of the Alliance alone a major victory over the Horde without massive casualties? people will keep complaining? Does that even remotely sound grown up? People whinging because the Night Elves can’t solo the Horde and not take massive casualties in so doing?
What is even the point of Night Elves being playable, if they are so powerful that alone they can defeat a superpower? I mean I thought it was bad enough that they had Malfurion, but if people are complaining that the entire -species- can’t take on every Horde species and win, then, I just don’t know what to say…
I’m going to be honest. Blizzard don’t -have- to give Night Elf fans a single thing. I mean it would be nice if they did, an instanced Hyjal as a new capital for example (Instanced so that you can still level through Cata Zones on Horde), but they don’t have to give them a single thing. They got stiffed by the war, tough. Some races even started out -stiffed- by the lore before the race was playable! What makes Night Elves so special that they deserve etter treatment than anyone else? This could have been a real opportunity to take them back to their WC3 roots, (pun almost intended) Nature, red in Tooth and Claw, Vengeful and unforgiving. Instead we get people whining because a -Corrupted- Tree was burned down, and their favourite race, with a tiny fraction of their own armed forces, could not alone have soloed a united Horde Army? For Real?

Actually I think I will continue to play Alliance, on my Gnome, Two Humans, Dwarf, DiD, Night Elf, Draenei, Void Elf. I quite have fun like that. Playing both factions keeps it all fun and interesting…
Ehh, Stormwind is good, Darnassus was a bit garbage, Exodar is utter garbage, Ironforge is brilliant, Gnomeregan -STILL- hasn’t been retaken, Gilneas (again, STILL needs retaking) is absolutely gorgeous, they nailed that. Boralus is just the bomb.

People are complaining that the night elves havent had a single victory since cataclysm.
Go and play there quest.
Every single one is a defeat.
Or at best a return to status quo.
Stop focusing on the war of thorns.
The night elves are the only race in the game with zero victories to there names.
The humans manage to get two human kingdoms back, The worgen drove the forsaken out before the forsaken used the blight, gren had hunted downi sylvanas(and for plot reasons didnt kill her)
The horde get to drive the night elves nearly out of ashenvale during cataclysm, The horde got to curbstomp the night elves in the war of thorn.
Not defeat, Not outsmart, Curbstomb because the night elves where made compleet morons.
And no the books dont make up for the ingame display.
But most important: Neary druid quest ends with corrupted night elf druids.
Neary every alliance quest is you saving the alliance from there own stupidity.
Where every single horde quest is you helping your fellow badasses.
People are legit complaining because every other race in world of warcraft has victories on there names.
Execpt the night elves.

I mean blood elf buildings are already more common then orcish buildings.
Well, that’s and interesting question. We know that Arcane water of the Well of Eternity have transformed trolls into Night Elves. They look pretty close to Cenarius, son of the Elune. So maybe it was Elune who use waters to create a new race.
We have High/Blood Elves who were still practice Arcane, the same waters. But they stop worship Elune, stop living at night, and they have strongly changed physically.
We have Nightborn, who were also practice Arcane, the same waters. They not just lost the Day/Night, they lost totally the sky. Instead of sky they were looking on magical barrier for thousands of years. Also they were not worship Elune much, just a little bit.
And they also have changed physically, but just a little bit.
So yes, maybe Elune worship does plays some role in body changes. We also have Highborn, that were still living at Night, who were also practice Arcane, but without a water. They use captured immortal demon. They did not changed physically.
I’m not sure how you think that an iconic Alliance race would be removed. Blizzard is never going to remove a race from a faction. The NELF and Humans make up over 50% of the player base at 120.
I’m not sure why such a fuss is being made about a mount. Throughout various times in the game the various ‘faction’ based mounts have been made available to the other side, through quests, achievements, vendors etc.
