when i open control panel i can see multible Battle.net.exe processes running.
180.636 kb
30.276 kb
21.924 kb
7.228 kb
and this is without it doing updates or whatever..
so my question is. why the hell isn't there a simplified battle.net option? because i couldn't care less about the info video's battle.net shows me. i care about my memory usage because blizzard agent/battlenet slows down my PC and it takes a few seconds to respond to the stuff i click on it.
i've grown to hate it so much that i finally ended up writing on forums about it. and yes i have turned off "use browser hardware acceleration when available" and tried all the "battlenet high memory usage" problem solving tricks.... for the high standard blizzard puts on its games this app is one of the most disappointing & frustrating things i have come into contact with and am forced to come into contact with on a daily bases because there's no other way around it to play the blizz games...
i'd love to see an option implemented were we can turn On a simplified Battlenet were it uses around 10k or 20k kb or atleast not the high numbers it has now. i can't be the only one with this frustration right?..
Battle.net launcher feedback forums are at https://us.battle.net/forums/en/bnet/9772478/index if you want to provide feedback there. It's US forums but all accounts should be able to post there.
200 MB is not really that much for a mostly background process so if your memory is running out you might want to consider adding more RAM to your computer. Plus you can always close launcher once you have started the game you want to play.

Blizzard get revenue from the adverts lol. They are not about to disable them any time soon.

Surely the adverts are all for their own stuff so it's not like they're being paid to have them on the launcher.
Paid? Maybe not, but the purpose of an advert is to sell products. They receive revenue by selling players further Blizzard products via the adverts.
So yes, the adverts will be remaining for the foreseeable future.

Adverts or not, it's a Chromium based app. They'd need some serious chopping off of features to make it drop down to that amount of RAM, it's not gonna happen regardless.
Move your social to whatsapp and use a shortcut to start the game.

Are you serious, that's almost no ram considering PCs have upwards of 4GB of RAM these days.
