Funny thing. So, I haven’t touched the game since start of June untill the day before early access hit. Now when I got back into the game I had chat disabled since before. Literally whole window gone.
Now, I went on the toilet to pee, and got back to the screen to getting a 2 weeks suspension out of the blue? Reason? Chat Abuse? Like… what? I have legit not used the in-game chat at all? Only communication I’ve had is through the Battle.net app with friends, or via discord with guildies?
How does this stupidity even work? I can’t even grasp it? I’ve tried appealing now, but I assume as it always does, send you an automatic BOT reply with 0 human interaction after a few days (even though it says estimated response time: 24 hours).
This system is not working, and hasn’t been for many years now.
But yeah, I know folks, they’ll remove my post and ban me on forums. That’s how they work. And to you keyboard warriors who does nothing but flame others, thank you for, as people always do with these kind of posts - LIAR! You deserved it! and add some curse words to it as well.
Br, from a player who just spent 90 euros to get access to this stupid expansion early on. To be banned untill mythic raid opens, and leave my guild with 1 less tank all of a sudden. Lovely.

There are always 2 sides to a story, so I can’t tell if you’re telling the truth or just lying about something you did to try and save face if someone sees your name on the forums.
Instead of writing on the forums about it, where nothing will be done. You should be getting in touch with customer support, where they can review the suspension and check the chat logs to see if anything was said, where the suspension was warranted.
Also, a 2 weeks suspension is an escalation process. Meaning you’ve had this happen many times previously, as it goes from a few hours to a day, to 3 days, to a week etc.
So again, contact support and let them handle it. If it was false reporting, then you’ll have your account unbanned. But if you’re lying, then you’ll have to wait those 2 weeks before you can get back ingame.
First off. It’s literally been disabled since June, I’ve been working from home and just AFK chilling through questing and done some dungs with guild and semi AFK through BGs for honor gear.
Second. Of course, I’ve already written an appeal, as I stated, but I know this process alright. I know that they’ll be sending an automatic BOT reply which gives NOTHING, after several days of waiting. This is what they do regarding literally EVERYTHING these days. You even end up hitting Taiwanese CS for some reason.
Third. Yeah, that’s not how it works these days. What they do now is: Ban 1 week, then 2 weeks, then perma. I have a lot of friends who QUIT the game due to this absolute stupidity through Shadowlands and Dragonflight. People spam report everyone generally in Solo Shuffle. They even skip the Silence for 1 week these days. Before, you’d get silenced and not banned.
Fourth. That is VERY easy for you to say, really. But as I’ve stated, from someone with actual experience with having to contact customer support several times because they’ve screwed me over with payments, and have had technical issues too, I know how they work.
It’s a BOT auto reply, for all between 1-10 times, before a human being is showing up with 9/10 times, a response that doesn’t help. Then 2 replies later, you get one of these “experts” who just solve it instantly.
Do you see this process? I’m banned for 2 weeks. I’ll be getting the 2nd or 3rd (at best) auto reply by then.
Making the whole appeal process useless, as I’ve already lost the 2 weeks.

If the ban was false, you can request that time you’ve been banned to be granted back to your account, as it was due to the automated systems in place.
Normally they will do this if you ask, as it wasn’t your fault. But if you don’t ask, they won’t do it.

Sir. That’s another incorrect statement.
What they do is, they pause the subscription. The subscription, I have 0 care for. What I do care for, is the time I’m missing from the game itself. Now, I’m missing the start for my guild’s heroic clears for instance. I’m also missing time to gear up among other things. I couldn’t care less about 10 euros of game time.
And what does it matter for if it’s false or not? Even if they finally conclude to it being false, I’ll have that answer in maybe 4 weeks with their speed and automatic bot replies.
The system is a complete FAILURE. That’s a fact. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. But Blizzard just keeps silencing everyone about it, and continuously make it worse. When was the last time you had one of those nice chats with a GM? Where they actually helped for once? My last time, was WOD.

First time I’ve heard of them pausing the subscription, maybe that’s something new. I’ve never been suspended since WoW was first released, so I’ve not had to worry about it. But friends that I’ve had in the past, had have to request gametime back as their subscription was still very much active.
So I’ve learnt something new today, that on a suspension your gametime is “paused”.
But I do agree that the automated system is not perfect as it’s there to be openly abused by people and unfortunately those who abuse the system are not punished and they should be punished for the timeframe that someone is affected by their malice behaviour.
Last time I spoke to a Game Master, probably in The Burning Crusade (original).
They’ve changed these things insanely much since just Legion. I had a friend who legit got PERMA banned then on his account. He’s still perma banned on that account. What do you think he can do on it? World content, alone. You can’t even have a character of his in group, while you’re leader and queued in LFG for instance. He came back to try out DF for a bit. But just gave up, as it’s basically same as being banned.
These days, I highly doubt there’s any CS workers at all. Instead, these “expert GMs” or w/e, are clearly just devs who gets it sent to them after a while, then clicks 3 buttons and it’s all good.
But yeah, if you’ve ever been doing Solo Shuffles, you’ll know, people just spam report EVERYONE there, like every single match. It’s being so severely abused, and Blizzard is just blaming the people getting hit by it.
Yeah all European Customer Support is done, they closed down the France & Ireland offices. Now the Customer Support is the US team in Austin, Texas. So you have many a hundred or so agent, who’re dealing with all regional support for World of Warcraft.
It’s why any form of direct conversation with a Game Masters, which isn’t an automated script linking you to self-help articles, now takes weeks, where in the past, you could speak to someone within a matter of minutes/hours.
This is unfortunately due to Bobby and his cutting corners to make more money to buy his 11th yacht!
I’ve never done any PvP outside the weekly quests, as I’ve lost interest in that aspect of WoW since they removed dedicated PvP realms.
Yeah I agree, I remember back in WOTLK, when I could literally call them by phone, to get help with my stolen account. Good old days.
Now… well, Blizzard is EXTREMELY greedy, and has been so since I’d say about Legion?
But the fact that Blizzard keeps doing this nonsense, even under Microsoft ownership is just absurd. I’d have thought that Microsoft would at least do SOMETHING to the whole customer support branch of the company… But it seems not.
The thing I find most absurd about this kind of topic though, is the fact that Blizzard completely FORBIDS this type of topic on the forums. They literally DELETE them, and ban the authors for doing so. That’s why it’s generally so rarely spoken about on the forums. Silencing their own players when being criticized is quite insane to me.

Customer support is great!. Love waiting 1-14 days for a response only to get an automatic message. Had to make 14 tickets once to get them to fix an issue 10 of them where automatic ones.
Having an automatic system where a human does not check if its a valid ban/silence is just dumb.
14 times!? I’m surprised in some ways, but also not. My longest was a 11 responses from BOTs, including 3 from the Taiwanese Customer Support team’s BOT…? Like… I’m sorry but what? I’m on EU???
The 12th response was an answer saying basically “I fixed it for you now” from an actual human.
I don’t see how in any way they find this to be a financial positive. The last 2 workplaces, I’ve legit had to shut down the AI responses from the customer supports, working as a product owner, because they caused an insane financial burden due to things getting delayed and such.
I can’t see how there’s no way we can just sue Blizzard for this kind of behavior, as we’re paying customers not receiving the promised assistance for their products.
