Meanwhile i got to cast every round 10-15 castable heals that heal for less than Hpally instants,he can easily play offensive cuz the only thing he actually casts is repentance after hoj
Are you tracking your Master of the Elements stacks?
Do you have Nature’s Swiftness ready?
Do you have Unleash Life ready?
Is Riptide rolling on the target?
Is Earthshield on the target, not purged/spellstolen by any means?
Great, now you can cast 1(!) instant decent healing surge which hopefully crits.
I keep seeing these posts-complaints about balance and how it’s unfair that some classes have to cast more than others… Etc etc.
I used to think the same way. But after two years of stressing over it, I’ve realized this game will never be perfectly balanced or completely fair. Once you accept that, you have two options: play what’s considered meta or just enjoy the gameplay for what it is. Either way, the game becomes much more fun,
resto sham does more healing when target is low.Idk.
Well there is a difference between perfect balance and them not even making an attempt at balancing.
Take healers for example… Rdruid/rsham is an expansion behind the rest.
Not just 5% less healing ect.
This. In 20 years of WoW Blizz never did a good job at balancing stuff. But sadly you have still players that are playing this game for over 10 years and still expect something different.
There was a time where shamans could keep the whole team alive with just using riptide and totems. Not a single cast needed.
Or they could be afk in ghost wolf and you couldn’t kill them. Your time will come again.
nerf rdruid
Half of BFA S1 then Rshams got gutted.Amazing isnt it,Rsham is good for half a season 7 years ago and some other specs are broken for 1-2 seasons in a row, then take a break for a season and back again at the top. Before BFA S1 Rshams were good in Cata so that makes it like every 7-10 years Rsham above mid! HUGE
Say that again I dare you
Chatgtp explains it Perfectly.
Why WoW PvP Will Never Be Fully Balanced (And Why That’s Intentional)
There’s an ongoing debate about WoW PvP balance, with every patch bringing buffs, nerfs, and a new wave of complaints about what’s broken. But here’s the truth: WoW PvP is not meant to be perfectly balanced. Blizzard intentionally keeps it just imbalanced enough to keep things dynamic, create meta shifts, and maintain long-term engagement.
- The Rock-Paper-Scissors Philosophy
WoW PvP isn’t about perfect 1v1 balance. Some classes are meant to counter others. The game is designed around compositions, not individual specs. A perfectly balanced game would remove the uniqueness of classes and make PvP feel dull. Instead, Blizzard ensures that each spec has a place in the meta—even if some seasons are rough for certain specs.
- Meta Shifts Keep the Game Fresh
Instead of aiming for total balance, Blizzard shakes up the meta every patch.
Buffing underperforming specs keeps things interesting.
Letting some specs shine (even temporarily) ensures variety.
No meta lasts forever, forcing players to adapt.
This approach keeps the PvP scene engaging, even if it means suffering through occasional busted classes (hello, Ret rework).
- Power Progression Is a Core Part of WoW
WoW isn’t a pure esports title—it’s an MMORPG. Gear, borrowed power, and progression systems matter. Even with templates or scaling, balance will always be affected by external factors like PvE tuning, trinkets, and tier sets. Blizzard leans into this imbalance rather than trying to remove it.
- Imbalance Drives Player Engagement
Whether we like it or not, imbalance creates:
Excitement (and outrage) – People reroll, argue on forums, and try new comps.
Class identity – If every spec was equally viable in all scenarios, classes would lose flavor.
A reason to keep playing – There’s always a meta shift coming, meaning the game never feels “solved” for too long.
- Esports Balance vs. MMORPG Balance
WoW isn’t an esport in the same way as LoL or CS:GO. Those games must be balanced because competition is their core. WoW PvP, on the other hand, exists alongside PvE and world content. Trying to balance it perfectly would hurt class uniqueness and remove a lot of the chaos that makes WoW fun.
Conclusion: “Balanced Enough” Is the Goal
Blizzard doesn’t aim for perfect balance, but “balanced enough”—where most specs are viable, the meta shifts often, and no class completely dominates forever. Is it frustrating at times? Absolutely. But it’s also what keeps PvP unpredictable and exciting.
Except the meta always finds a way to devolve into ele shaman brainrot m+ cleaves, it’s so fun.
Thats wishful thinking. But in reality we got same specs and same comps as meta almost every season, while there are specs that doesnt get to shine for over 5 years and more.Ill be more than fine if we had 2-3 healers meta current season(Disc/Hpala mainly) and next season those 2 specs change places with Hpriest and Rshamy.Season after we get Rdruid and Evoker and so on and so on,but thats not the reality.
Ofc hpal is a god tier now, shammy doing bad (because of meta too) but it’s still far from such nonsense
Some people still feel phantom pain from treants
Video from 5 years ago in 2s bracket. What is that supposed to show ?
You are using wrong wrong spells
FIX.
You make no sesnse at all,try google translate
Inef Paladin BFA S4…the most broken s hit ever made in the game,CDs didnt have CDs at all.
All you show is Azerite stacked Rshamy that self heal in 2s bracket, meanwhile he could of easily die by any RMP comp on clepto GO.Also healed for nothing his teammates and was weak in 3s bracket that matter.
This trophy probably goes to Ret Rework in Dragonflight.
You are playing this game for years, you have experience so you should know how blizz works and how awful they are at balancing stuff. I don’t get it why you still, after all that years you put time and energy into crying about that stuff?
Blizz don’t care and so should you. It won’t get better with no devs for PvP.
Exactly and you can play better if you start pressing the right buttons, I don’t know why this needs to be explained to a person with such exp as yours, mb you were boosted or played FOTM
