dont mind gilded crests at 8 but vault at 10 sucks.
10s are not fun to play because, not chill enough to keep farming 8 a week… especially on alts.
vault on 8 or remove the fort/tyrannocal team up on 10s and move to 12
avoiding tyrannical is typically much more chill, but even farming on tyrannical is better than always having both because you can at least brain afk 80% of the dungeon
your points since I know for a fact I saw zero posts that were critical of blizzard from you in the forums
You always claim nothing wrong with this season whereas literally the game is dying out because this season is bad for both player base elitist and casuals alike
Just put him on ignore list and ignore what he says. The guy is a classic fanboy/bootlicker and isn’t capable of a bad word about Blizzard. And after over 30 years into the metal music scene, I’m well aware of those types of people and they are easy to detect.
As you say, M+ is in the worst state ever and if you go beyond the Blizzard Forums (which probably is the least used WoW community forum there is) and instead check like reddit you get a pretty good grasp of what the community thinks.
First season, in a new expansion, has after 12 weeks significantly less runs than Season 3 in the previous expansion. Yeah, it sure looks good and M+ definitely seem to be in a “good” state…
I would argue that removing Myth track gear would solve more than this.
Which leads to
Not being needed anymore, as Gilded is then less required. It also makes tuning a bit easier as there’s a lesser gear-gap.
People act like tanks are squishy as all hell. They’re not. Just some specific tuning may need to happen, but overall they’re fine. Stop wanting to go back all the time.
This, or reduce the amount of significant casts. I do see a point in having an AoE-knockup/stun not count as real interrupt. But there are just too many casts currently.
Alright, I exaggerated it. Of course bruiser and boss casts still have to be interrupted manually. But if this nerf was to be reverted, the meta would be shaped by AoE CC.
Given that: (A) a meta will always exist. (B) the fix to that is dungeon tuning (which they never do)… (C) The main cause of the problems with the old system was VDH double sygil (which has been nerfed)… and (D) in past seasons the meta has NEVER been about AoE CC (except with the OP VDH)…
Given those 4 factors, I doubt your statement is correct. Previous system was better, more fun, and more engaging. For both premades and PuGs. Across all levels. Hands down.
No, they cant do it.
Imagine the pain of Ion and his yes men: confessing being wrong for even once before the end of the expansion? how dare you!
It is shadowlands all over again. We can expect these changes in S3, where they are usually cornered and cannot do anything else anymore.
Its always like this:
S1: introduce new issues by trying to solve something literally nobody asked for
S2: double down on the identified issues, making them much worse
S3: realize this all would have been avoidable by not trying to fix what is not broken in the first place
History repeat itself … sometimes I wish Blizzard Developers team get their salary on how well the game is being perceived live … so they take our feedback more seriously
They would dream up some twisted metric to justify things, I unconditionally trust them in this and this alone.
Ion’s vision about wow is what really hurts this game for a long while now. He should have been let go long ago.
I dont even believe he is actually this much out of touch with the community anymore, more like he plainly does not care at all, but about his own esportified vision.
I just can’t understand the data they read about M+ in DF s1,2,3,4 and how data told them to do exactly these changes
To me these changes have zero LOGIC in it.
yes DF was easy on the m+ front but m+ is system that scales UP so every person will hit his personal wall.
So why would blizzard do this
I would pay money just for explanation why these changes were necessary.
IMO I think myth vault should be good for +9 so that it is either forti or tyra, but not both. (Let’s be real, currently it is not difficult, only tedious. Those who can fill their myth vault each week absolutely don’t care about any abstract feeling of difficulty or success or whatever)
Crests on +7 would be nice, that is the difficulty contra feasibility key of choice for most of the people. (That way you make more market penetration between heroic raiders on side 1 and mythic raiders and serious pushers on side 2)
Hero track farm on +5 to be able to get hero gear in the middle of the road. (That way you mix more casual people with more dedicated PvE players in general)
In general, it would be nice to create confluxes of various performance groups of people in a content that is not entirely top or flop difficult, so it is not as stressful for either side and there is some potential for better players to carry.
I think one of the issues is actually that they do take our feedback seriously. Just the wrong ones:).
Let’s be honest, our feedback most often is terrible. Everything always is terrible, any change is crippling us for weeks, balance is never good even though it’s objectively solid, etc…
It’s actually time they stop listening to us and start planning/designing long-term.
