Now that the factor of player expression through appearance is finally getting more attention, i believe it is time to break weapon restrictions that plague the cloth wearing classes. There is no reason to exclude priests from swords and mages and warlocks from maces. More so, it makes no sense to exclude all of them from wearing axes, there are literally no valid arguments remaining why not to do so:
“It does not make sense” We got tauren rogues this year, are you telling me that makes more sense than mages wearing a mace instead of sword?
“There are not enough one handed int weapons in game to justify it” Evokers have access to all one handed weapons despite being int based class, clearly showing that blizzard does not care about the numbers in this regard.
“It has been like that since classic, why change it now” If not now then when? Classic is a vestige of a past and clinging onto it will only make the game actively worse.
Cloth classes have some of the best fantasies in game, yet this nonsensical restrictions actively makes me wonder if playing priest for DF was a bad idea as i can not even make a transmog that i personally would like, thank you rant over.
