Blizzard change the Demo Doomguard and Doom

Leaving spawning of the Doomguard for a random chance is stupid, especially when spawn is tied to the severely undertuned Doom that is also tied to the Demonbolt that has reduced proc rate of Demon Cores.

Make doomguard a guaranteed proc from the Doom, increase his damage substantially, but limit the max number of Doomguards to one.

Right now Doomguard works like this. When he spawns he has 100 energy, each doom bolt spends 20 energy so Doomguard can cast only 5 spells.

In order to better implement him into the full demo idea of spawning end empowering demons change Impending doom Talent. Right now it increases the damage of doom by 30% and spawns one wild imp when Doom Expires.

My idea is to change the talent so Every soul shard spend during doom increases it’s damage by 10% and Each soul shard generated would increase the max energy of Doomguard by 10.

Also talent Doom eternal should be changed to something like this - demonic cores increase damage of Doomguard by 20%. With the reduced demonic core proc it would fit nicely empowering Doomguard within reasonable numbers suitable for the late talent.

This way the late talents - Doom and Pact of the Ered’ruin would be worth taking and be well tied to the basic demo rotation. Maintaining the decent damage and not cluttering the screen with more doomguards.

UPD. Doom damage should scale with the missing %HP of the target, like if target has 99% of HP the bonus damage of doom is 3% if target has 50% of HP then bonus damage is 150%. This would transform a crappy damage of doom to an execute based ability. Or if you don’t wanna tinker with damage make Doom timer %based, the less HP target has the less time Doom would need to proc.

So, they removed the 100% chance summoning Doomguard because obviously several could come out. Naturally the solution was very simple: give 100% of the proc but insert an internal cooldown in order to prevent many Doomguards from spawning.

Unfortunately for unknown reasons it is right for them to increase the damage, when the problem is the proc rate. Of course it would be even better if the Doomguard cast Doombolt Volley, only 3 and not 5 so as not to exaggerate. But even as you say it could be fine
