Blizzard encourages boosting now?

I love when people come to the Forums acting like they usualy do in-game or among their friends, and act surprised after they get punished. Maybe read the forum rules before posting? If you act like a fool, you get treated like a fool.

I saw far worst ones and not reported at all.

Next.

Dont waste energy on such people bro gief me food spam!

It is hard to think blizz is supporting boosting for token-sales, and next to that flood us with ingame gold.

Most boosts cost several 100k gold no? You only get a few thousand per day, per character.

How many times do you need to buy AOTC?
I am not really into the current prices, but more at the end of the season it costed ~50k.

I am not even trying to make gold and i got +7M gold in SL… I made more, but i also got expenses.

My understanding of the two terms in question is thus:

Boost - many low level players asking a (lesser quantity of) higher level player(s) to Join their Group to kill a powerful opponent for them.
Carry - several high level players taking a single player along to a group encounter that they are underqualified/powered for.

Paid or not is circumstantial to the actual encounter…

How much gold do you need for boosting services? Is 4.000000 gold enough?

U can get mythic jailer mount for around that

It isnt to encourage boosting.

Its accepting the fact it isnt going away and will always exist and simply removing the irritation of the situation.

This is to allow us to turn the channel off so we can now ignore boost asvertisement. Half the games channels have been unusable for years due to the relentless spamming.

Don’t you see that creating an exclusive channel for boosting is in fact a negative change for boosters? Think carefully, this change only benefits players who don’t want to see boosting announcements because from tomorrow we could leave this new channel and don’t see any more boosting announcements. And if someone announces that in the normal channel we can report them and they will be banned. Boosters will prefer to keep everything as it is right now, but instead, they will lose part of their audience.

The problem that Blizzard had with boosters before is that it was never supported in any way, but it isn’t against the rules. Saying that something is allowed but not supported means they pretend it doesn’t exist. But that means Blizzard couldn’t support anti-boosters who want to not see any boosting announcement in the trade channel, because they can’t forbid players to announce somewhere something that isn’t against the rules. So, splitting the channel in two is the only option.

Making a separate boosting channel gives me the freedom to /leave it without having to /leave 2. I have been playing without trade chats for 4 years now because of the boosting spam.

People need gold to buy boosts. Farming gold is no longer viable in game. I wonder how people will get gold to buy boosts? WoW tokens you say? Profit for Blizzard you say? Intentionally impossible to farm gold in game is by design to make people buy WoW tokens you say? Ban real money boosting but allow gold boosting so all of the real money goes to Blizzard you say?

Yes. Blizzard LOVE boosting.

It should be off by default imo, that way only those who are searching to be boosted will turn it on.

it is viable actually.

Just because YOU have no idea about how to farm gold, doesn’t mean that it’s no longer viable.

No. Blizzard simply does not care if you buy 1000 Tokens and get everything during new Season or Raid tier even if you don’t deserve item upgrades. Or simply buy purples from the AH.

Thats not rly true, its very possible to farm gold. Its just the majority will never bother to. There are loads who generate millions on expansion launchs by playing the AH, predicting whats gonna sell fast and early investments into proffessions and gathering

Its just most dive to max level asap to jump into dungeons instantlym

the only thing blizz will create doing this is getting alot of players who will get the achievement but don’t really know the dungeon/raid and that will make the community even more toxic .

You have mistaken ‘‘helping a friend’’ with boosting people for either irl money or gold which ends up being sold on wow.gold sites.

Every single boosting groups on lfg is re-selling gold for irl money, and blizzard being aware of that and doing nothing about is the whole point, especially when most boosts are being done by ‘‘world first kill’’ guilds/players,AWC and MDI competitors , which is favouritism and should NOT exist in games especially not by company like blizzard.
