Boosting by guilds and/or players has always been part of the game, the issue became when it was such a huge effort by entire communities to the tune of billions of gold crapping all over trade. Giving such services a dedicated channel is a smart move as you can much more readily leave that one and they can’t use traditional trade to advertiser either.

It’s probably the only time I go through all of the achievements there are by now and it’s fun ^^ I like to play with words though and I like silly humor so it could be something else and it would work for me too.

This isnt 2004, what i ment is that people would talk casually about life and may be this banter will be cozy, may be not so much. Players have report button to sort it out.
But its much better than bot spamming M+ sells.

Blizzard has never been against boosting. They just did not want it to be advertised in main channels.

As long as boosters stick to the “Services” channel (which we know they won’t) I can just turn the channel off and no longer see their “offerings”.

They have been encouraging boosting for a long time because it sells tokens.
I for one find this shameful behaviour.

People have been suggesting/asking for a separate channel for boosts for ages now. Seems to be a good thing to add imo.

I’ll never boost since I don’t see how that’s fun but technically there is nothing wrong with it. Everything happens ingame, you pay gold you get something back and blizzard should have no say in that. The only thing they should do and did is moving them to another channel so I don’t get bothered if I don’t care about it.
Actually we are a step away from a Comp Stomp like AI guided raid team, hired mercenaries for gold to “boost yourself”

It is easy and quite fun
Boosting doesn’t break any rules if it’s done with in-game currency. In fact, Blizzard even profits from it through token sales.
Real money boosting is bad!
You need to give the money to blizzard directly!
if people ignore the boost chat like intended…
they will just start spamming in the trade chat again.
this will not fix anything…
only way to fix it is ban all boosting.

Probably, but i remember the “flood” before and now, its really close to that.
New players see that “flood”, and feel like a 3rd rated mmo trashgame.
