I feel like that would be a complete waste of time for everyone and would not meaningfully change the game to the better. If anything Blizzard should do this:
Make LFR a solo-player experience with AI bots (if player dies, the encounter fails, etc)
Get rid of Normal difficulty (if maintaining this has relevant cost tied to it)
Flexible heroic 10-30 like now
Keep Mythic as 20 and hardest difficulty
Loot wise:
Allow loot to be upgraded between seasons for M+ (terribly annoying to regrind your gear) - some big brain Blizzard developer whoâs paid to think of this could come up with how healing and tanking role could work.
Let loot be upgradeable between raid difficulties (heroic to mythic gear) like how Sylvanasâ bow was able to be upgraded
Create loot vendors that sell loot from bosses youâve killed with a deterministic currency tied to that raid
heroic isnât remotely challenging enough for even semi-progression guilds and is cleared within 2 weeks.
we understand why mythic is locked at 20, we just want to point out thereâs problems with the roster system. I just think high difficulty raiding should not involve the insane level of individual pressure for attendance it currently does.
they either need to change raiding or come up with a new type of content that 100% of progression raiders are happy with doing if they get benched, to allow guilds to have a more than 20 active members
The same was true for ten man, or any team size, you need more raiders than you have spaces because you have to cover sickness, unexplained absences, holidays etc.
This. Even 10man guilds couldnât operate with just 10 people. It caused a lot of problems if you were in this position. The possibility of getting benched is something a raider has to sign up for if the members in the raid balance is static.
I got benched for pantheon yesterday for instance. Thatâs simply how it is sometimes.
Mythic 10 man will likely never happen. I also wonder how you would see that play out. You canât have mechanics at the same interval and as punishing as 20 man since you miss half the defensive (mostly healer) cooldowns to cover them.
thereâs a difference between sometimes getting benched and being the 21st or 22nd spare member (which is basically what you two are calling normal). but anyway, Iâm glad youâre both fine with it then. maybe I just imagined that people left the guild after typing in chat âsorry guys, but I wonât pay my sub if I canât play the gameâ over the years.
Ten man teams had to bench too, you had to rotate people in and out same as you do now. This also highlights the clear advantage of Normal and Heroic flexing because you can bring up to 30 players providing youâve got the healers to support the number of players.
If you are perma benched then no youâre not likely to stick around but if itâs to get first kill/rotate/gear people in and out then itâs fine.
And why do you ask for it if you then want to decrease the loot? Either you enter it with the same benefits or you donât request it. Although for me, 10man mythic is much more difficult than 20man. Only two healers see it as difficult.
Secondly, I like the idea. Imagine a big guild where only has spot for two tanks (20man). Having access to the myth 10man raid, would give more space to everyone, especially those who prefer to play tanks and not be forced to have double spec, because in the 20man group, they always tank the gm and the cousin. More guild raid groups, more chances for everyone to play. I have seen many guilds destroy themselves as soon as they get to the myth and discard people, what guilds raiding from 10man.
i ageee totaly, it would only also be beneficial for the game to brung back 10 man mythic raiding, many ppl would come back to play the game, even m+ only players would find it more enjoyable to play raiding and also the majority of the friendships who play the game surrounds about 5-10 man so it would be alot more enjoyable to raid if there is only close friends and not alot of random ppl envolved, ill see this as a major factor for blizzard to make a huge comeback for the game and it will recive alot more people to come back to play the game again, and make 10 man mythic raiding release 1 month after 20 man mythic raiding for rwf so it doesnt get the debature that 10 man is easier cause of tuning or what so ever like in the past, but anyways this would make that the more casual/semi hardcore m+ player would enjoy and raid again and make a return of player base to actually play the game again, i dont see why this would be any negative but only positive for blizzard and for the whole game? cause in the end of the day u play for to have fun? and this 10 man mythic back in mop, tbc, lich king was the best time in my lifeâŚno doubt, so make it comeback and make rwf only be 20 man raiding and 10 man makes access 1 month or so after release, it would make the game more enjoyable and actually be fun to raid again! thnx for reading all
