Blizzard just killed tinderbox farming

As a blacksmith I welcome this change. Maybe those outrageous prices will drop.

Don’t think removing the only way you could target farm 10-12 tinderboxes per hour per character and spreading them out with rng in a mix of several different materials is somehow gonna drive prices down lol, do that math again.

Btw, been delving since i posted the original post to prove a point, only ringing deep ingots and oils so far. Not a single tinderbox. Compare that to the almost guaranted 10+ tinderboxes and maybe you’ll get it.

Sure, but I am pretty sure it will though. :slightly_smiling_face:

Less drops → better price.

Sure.

already a couple k’s of tinderboxes less on ah currently in just a couple of hours.

A lot of people do bountiful delves to gear their chars. Now they have a chance for a tinderbox drop. I expect the prices to drop significally as well, sold my whole stock today.

A chance among multiple other materials thrown into the loot pool, compared to the thousands being funneled from nightfall sanctum farmers.

Doubt it.

Besides it’s not just the price, it’s the target farming that’s an issue since now they just gave the middle finger to anyone finally finding a reliable income of gold on them, now you are instead forced to compete with the rest of all the blizz sanctioned bot-farms in the game that has almost no value at all unless you are a literal bot going at it 24/7/365.

EDIT: Also your argument falls kinda flat considering blizzard could achieve higher drop rates of the item while keeping the target farm availibile, proving that higher drops wasn’t the goal.

It sucks a bit for sure, I was also farming them for my weapons, now I have to rely on the ah. However Im guessing the prices will drop by a lot so that I dont have to farm them. That is an assumption of course, maybe you are right and we are all doomed :scream:

Btw you can make a lot of gold with professions, either as a gatherer or a crafter. Both work very good at the moment.

Every single time blizzard ruins or removes something someone thouroughly enjoys, they get to hear “why don’t you just go do something completely different”, as if i should accept that as a defence of what blizzard is doing. every time without failure lol.

Go promote professions all you want, this isn’t about that.

Price has already dropped 2k since yesterday.
Now it is more availible for everybody, instead if a few who grind the same delve.

“Dropped by 2k”

And it’s because of two people posting like 10-15 tinderboxes undercutting eachother with 500 every time they post lmfao

Speaking of “availibility”, i need 50 tinderboxes, how would i go about getting them now?

And don’t say acution house lol, if you don’t want to highlight the issue i’ve mentioned many times already.

It seems today people are too keen on feeding the bot-farmer people rather than letting the people actually grinding things have a single fkn thing in the game. Smfh

Not really no, but this discussion is pointless.

Have a nice day. :slightly_smiling_face:

So anyone that doesn’t agree with you is labeled toxic?

What’s interesting is that for me to craft my own weapon, it’s cheaper to actually buy the already crafted materials, than to buy the materials to make the materials to make the weapon.

It was 4k to 5k cheaper per material, then having to buy a tinderbox, along with the rest of other materials to make one of the alloys for example. This is due to the price of tinderboxes being so stupidly high, due to people who do not actually need to use them in their crafts, but wanting to make a very quick profit.

Nah the toxic part is defending blizzard screwing over players without being able to give a single reason for it. Nothing he agreed with them doing was necessary to give the desired outcome he thinks it was done for, which then in turn only means they meant to f over people who were doing targeted farming. That’s what’s toxic, not the “yay i get to find the items when doing the delves i prefer”, if that was his take i wouldn’t have responded as i did, but you’re insulting everyones intelligence by pretending that’s what he was going for.

Looks like the prices are still going down. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Hope they ban the abusers.

“RNG bypass detected, deploying countermeasures!”

well for me it is fine.
selling r3 authority enchants didnt net a big profit anymore for some days already, so I cba.
farming is for people who have notjing else to do with their lifes

price is now at around 350 for a tinderbox with the hotfix, now you can trade other materials for a tinderbox.
