Blizzard has finally listened to feedback! Now tents such as the expedition one have only a 2 minute CD and are placed where you are in the direction you are facing!

Now if only WoD tents were usable outside of Draenor.

I miss them dearly, it’s why I was LW in WoD…But understandable why they removed the usage outside of Draenor because of the people who stacked Org / SW full of tents around the time as a joke and meme and it’d cause major lag.

But, it could easily be changed to being used outside Cities and banned for inside them. :woozy_face:

I can’t recall but in a different thread, I and others were asking for the cooldown to be reduced. I believe we aimed for at least the same cooldown as the uptime but they made it much lower (as you can see). I believe it is 10-15 minutes?

It’s all true! You can put them down in a sensible position, and they come off CD before they fade! Hurrah! :tent:

I despise double posting, But I can now confirm the following:

Tents have…

  1. A 2 minute CD
  2. Fade if you re-deploy them at another spot after CD ends.
  3. the tent door/entrance forms in the direction you are facing
  4. they last 15 minutes if you don’t re-make them.

They’ve also done so you can’t deploy them in certain hub/city areas.

Such as Stormwind, and Stormshield.

Weirdly enough though you CAN deploy them in Valdrakken and Dalaran, so certain places the market tent can be used to enhance RP.

Well. Making it unable to in Stormwind makes sense, due to close quarters and such.

Initially I thought it’d de-activated in every major hub due Blizzard not wanting people to spam tents atop of each other and or NPCs.

But it seems to only go for some cities and hubs as mentioned.

So far it seems all of the small settlements outside in the open world are tent-able, as well as: New Dalaran, Valdrakken, Dazar’alor, Boralus.

Places that you can’t are: Old Dalaran, Stormshield, Warspear and every Horde and Alliance city.

The more you know.
