Hi everyone, I want to share how annoyed I am by Blizzard recently.
You (Blizzard) released classic with the idea that we can replay the old days and then brought in new cosmetic bulls*it like Dark Portal and some lizard mounts and what not, that has nothing to do with the lore of the game, which was once appreciated.
And now you make the Zeppelins deprecated by allowing players to teleport instantly via the goblins, this is very lame decision, killing the spirit of the game, I bet you did the same with the tram inside SW, haven’t checked yet…
Instead fighting bots and trying to make the game fair you do this st*pid decisions, to remove the Zeppelins from the game, because now if someone is chasing me, I can simply teleport to Northern and fly away, before - they would have caught me on the Zeppelin and some fun PvP would have happened, you killed this as well.
GG WP, deeply disappointed from your decisions, obviously they are taken by someone who have never played the game and is thinking in I don’t know what direction, but this is a joke.
They added the teleport NPCs because on release the boats were unusable and would disconnect immediately.
Maybe you can make a bug report on the PTR and they would disable them.
It’s not a bug, they put in the feature to smooth out the launch and they never bothered to remove it, just like all of the other random stuff they haven’t bothered with.
Lets not forget that they saw a few people complaining that people were fishing in Wintergrasp, 2 people out of a 240 player BG cast a fishing rod occasionally and Blizzard thought that was justification for them to remove all the water from the lakes, allow you to drive your tanks through the empty riverbeds and drive under magical ice blocks that float in thin air.
We thought that was a bug, nope it turns out it was intention and it has been that way since.
As many said, there was a reason why they added those npcs. The launch of Wrath was very intense for the servers and some boats were stuck in endless loop of instance not found. So they added that npc shortly after (like 5min after midnight). It helped people get into Northrend and experience a lag-free launch.
However, they either forgot to remove it at some point or people gave a good feedback about the npc. Who knows. But yes, it wasn’t a “skip the game” feature or anything like that.
For me it doesn’t matter. I barely level these days and I have never seen anyone escaping with that npc
Are you sure about this? There’s a line in developers note on PTR page saying some nagas stole the water and Blizzard found them and will restore it to its place in Wintergrasp. Why would they restore the water if they had concerns about people fishing there?
But they are waiting for something, and that is to get to the other continent … If they started cutting out everything that would “save time”, we wouldnt have much of a game left. Welcome to a MMORPG!
I don’t know what’s worse, whether they did it on purpose, or did it by accident and left it in the game for 6 months despite the issue being extremely apparent & reported from the first day of Ulduar patch.
The outside Wintergrasp zone and the “battleground” Wintergrasp zone are separate and could have different water characteristics if Blizzard bothered.
True, and that should be an easy fix. You cannot fish in Strands of the Ancients, so the tech is already there. I guess the water bug in WG was just set as low priority while classic developers focused on more important stuff
You obviously have hard time reading with understanding.
It is a feature that once cut off ends up removing other features. Read again what I wrote. Ask someone to help you understand it.
Whatever, it is a feature that is deprecated and makes features of the game deprecated, it was not like this on the live server before, why would you do it like this now? If saving time is the purpose, just add a “personal teleporter” item to everyone and let them teleport lol, you won’t need any zeppelins, any boats, any portals even :D, it’s not a “classic” experience, it just makes the game easier.
