Blizzard needs a better QA process

hire all the people you fired in last 4 years because QA failed so hard once again, not blaming handful of people trying to do everything right. blizzard clearly needs more people. this game has been on beta & alpha testing for months and it has insane amount of bugs right now. if this game was on steam you guys would be getting review bombed today. you guys are relying so much on player feedbacks and bug reports.

I haven’t played the last 3 prepatches but this one is downright embarrassing.

  • Performance, in general, is much worse and I’m getting stuttering all the time
  • The game disconnected me like 10 times at least, all in Valdrakken
  • There are so many delays where the game gets stuck so you can’t cast and interact with anything which lasts for up to 10 seconds.
  • Warband bank has been broken for a whole day now which
  • UI is messed up for everyone.

Etc etc etc.

We’re the QA now. We even pre-order and do 6-12month subs for the privilege of testing their game.

It ain’t unique to Blizz, lots of devs save costs downsizing or getting rid of their own QA department.

It’s shameless corporate actions where we the consumers are our own worst enemy.

Even Customer Support is replaced by AI, and/or sourced to useless offshore script readers who are paid less than minimum wage.

i think there are still few poor people tryng to do the entire thing by themselves

the way there are so many bugs and issues with ui but not everyone has them… it’s a complete mess

Blizzard fired most of their QA department and we can see the results of it xD

Trying to cut corners to make more money for their shareholders… tsk tsk, seems Bobby is still behind the scenes :stuck_out_tongue:

I cannot speak to if it’s an issue with QA or the developers but IMO there has been a very noticable increase in game impacting bugs over the course of Dragonflight - especially in newly released content.

Sadly these days the game feels far less polished than was the case in the past. As a long term player I can play through it - but I fear that new and returning players have less reason to be tolerant and untill Microsoft and Blizzard change their current attitudes to quality they are making it very difficult for themselves to grow the game by (re)gaining new and returning players.

And is can only be exacerbated when Blizzard’s response to any major issue is either a stubborn, sullen silence or inaccurate/vague reponses from CS (who IMO are clearly struggling with dysfunctional internal communications from the dev team).
