I am almost done with my checklist of things I need to do, and yes “create same-ish thread in rapid succession” was part of the list. I am still yet to summon the lord of cringe though.
Also I think I do need to create a “I refuse to take quests from Horde NPCs (11.1 patch), so I am quiting” post. Oh and I need to make an inconsistent “favorite races” list somewhere.

If this were actually Warcraft, the reaction would be more akin to: “Xal’Atath remains a dangerous threat. We must rebuild, rally, and destroy her” or at the very least a “We have been defeated, let’s rebuild something less grand and mourn while we work ourselves back up” —> Dalaran appears in The Last Titan.
But instead Dalaran is lecturing itself for being too ambitious and saving the world three times?!

I think that one of the letters you need to choose from had this notion, but obv it doesn’t have any impact on the rest of the questline.
I mean yeah. “This evil void thing is trying to take over and/or destroy the world, but we took an L so we give up and are deciding to let someone else deal with, we do hope to survive till Sunday though”.

I hate to spoil the mood, but I doubt it.
After all, it was a 4 year battle on the German forum before he was actually permanently banned.
He was away for longer, even 3 months, thought permanent but he came back because it was only temporary.
And he had previously already multiple timeouts, still no perma.
All the previous bans should have added up to a perma ban long ago, but nothing happened.
Only when a GM took an active look did something happen and it was finally a perma
