I do not understand why the option has been removed for us to NOT track these things. I don’t want these on my minimap permanently, only at certain points when I am looking for them. I thought this UI overhaul was supposed to give us options, not take them away?

I will be honest with you… I usually forgot that option even existed 
Just asked a guard where are the trainers or such when I was lost and failed to find them
This new UI is absolutely terrible. A real killer for me. Won’t log in besides for my mission tables until I can get pre-DF UI.
Wish they’d give us the option, but I guess I’ll have to wait until some add-on pop up.

I don’t mind things like being able to move the minimap I guess (even though addons solved that in a more elegant way imo) but it also baffles me that so much is not movable at all. Like the character sheet. It is still stuck in a single position. I don’t exactly demand to get the old ui back, but this one is clearly not finished… Guess we are supposed to be beta testing this till the 15th

Edit mode is your friend. Yes indeed it took an hour to get me back to my old UI well nearly. My stealth button is stuck under my other abilities and I had to drag it out of the book and make a 3rd action bar on it with nothing but I ability =stealth attached. The closest I could get to my old one.
Above the mini map you should see a small pair of binoculars, click that and you can find the menu for tracking and toggle what you want to track. It hasn’t been removed just the icon and position changed.

Dear Flasher, please enlighten us then how to untrack the specific things my post is asking to untrack Can we add npc’s to the tracker menu via the edit button?

Ah yeah, sorry I didn’t read it right. Well, I did but I hadn’t looked at the tracking properly in beta to realise they weren’t in the list to track and untrack.
A few people had “missed” the change to the icon and its placement with the change which was the cause of my mistake here, I presumed that was the issue.
Yeah I’m not too happy about that either, I’m used to just tracking innkeepers and mailboxes, along with the more obvious stuff like quest areas and maybe points of interest. The minimap gets too cluttered in cities.
right click on yer profile and press edit mode. For some reason it wont move enemy profile from the bottom right, and its stuc behind action bars.
I think you aren’t understanding what my post is about my friend I am looking to bring back the option to not track npc’s like Innkeeper, stablemaster, repair on the minimap which so far the edit button does not seem to do

The game automagically deciding what to track or not bothers me too. I only want repair, mail, gathering nodes and quests on there. Oh yay, it can let me decide on barbers! How generous

Ok sorry about this. For some reason I thought you was talking about targeted npc profile being stuck down there. I would of thought that they would take that tracker off. Let’s hope they do.
I ALWAYS tracked stablemasters before but apparently now im not allowed too

every profession trainer show up on the map as well… not just your proffs, every proff. always

I’d be happy if i could turn off that damn quest POI tracker that fills half the minimap when flying over a world quest i dont even wanna do
