New players will come, if Blizzard makes an as cool cinematic as they did in BFA. If Blizzard makes a cinematic with Anduin crying aimed for Lore Nerds specifically, that liked shadowlands, then yeah, not many will see this and say “Hey, time to download the game”
1st of all the whole Alliance vs Horde got dismissed due DEI…
The game-play right now is a free pinata mode . You understand that we change the current hardest difficulty gear earned from the 1st w quest into the new season .
An MMORPG that is seasonal …what could get wrong ??
And lastly the worse is that they remove more content that they can provide and this is because seasonal .
Right now the time it hit’s new season the previous become irrevelant and pointless.
Take example Wrath .
During icc i was still doing Nax/Ulduar and toc despite the low ilvl gear but still were some upgrades… Right now do a w-quest you get the best quality of the previous tier …
This is making older tier dead -An expansion that remove by itself their content …Pretty dumb.
I CARE. I care about missing out on all that stuff and having to wait for 4 years or so before I can go solo it.
Anyway, I’m going to wait. This might be a nothing burger - I hope it is.
I’ll start spamming the forums with complaints if this turns out to be true, in due time.
Oh and:
This is an alt. An alt I don’t really play.
I’m just using it because it’s how I’m known on these forums.
On my main I change transmog frequently.
I love making new ensembles. I love collecting new looks.
I’m not afraid of changes.
I’m afraid of bad, destructive, toxic changes like this would be.
I disagree.
I mean; not COMPLETELY the same thing (not doing the literal same quest for 10 years, for example), but WoW does not have to get big changes for me to keep enjoying it.
That becomes an issue when there’s a queue involved. You queue up only to find 4 bosses already downed, or something. Just as an example.
And no queue = dead content, as far as I am concerned.
Maybe. Who knows.
Like I said: I’m going to wait for actual news about this.
But if it’s true, it’s extremely worrying to me for various reasons outlined in earlier posts.
I don’t think it’s true, Blizzard don’t want to ruin their own game’s popularity.
Either a) it’s a myth, or an idea discussed behind closed doors that was never actually part of the plan or b) it’s going to be folded in to story mode, meaning that it’ll still be there for people who want it.
But thats a good thing. You don’t have to sit and play all raid, and if you want, you can easily achieve that by q all wings. Your q will be up as you finish first one. You also can get bags for healers and tanks for wings that sell for okay gold atm
Well, why do people not wanna play in normal or heroic mode?: They don’t wanna feel social pressure to play on a schedule, and maybe they don’t wanna get gatekept in LFG. So instead of just providing the “solution” of LFR as something permanent, why not change systems in other ways to solve that problem intrinsically, so people are less gatekeepy and feel like they can replace raiders on the fly, if they can’t show up in NHC raiding. I don’t think LFR is the perfect permanent solution. Also maybe the reward system in the game feels off for NHC raiders, or people that would play it potentially.
Well, gear-wise it is absolutely useless now as Veteran gear basically gets thrown from every piece of content anyway, but I’m having my doubts about that being a thing because LFR has always been an accessibility raid thing .
Do you have a source for this? Removing mythic would affect very few people but I still refuse to believe they will do it, unless they make Heroic harder to bridge the gap. Blizzard covet the mythic “experience” and so would never take it away.
