I am not a money shark but i found myself with surplus of speed enchant on bracer and i found out how decrepit the AH is atm.
Bots undercutting each other and posting auctions of 1 every 3 to 5 seconds.
Seriously… go check it. There is a list of 1 silver undercutting since the biggest value undercutting each other by 1 silver at a time. Constantly, 24 hours a day. These are not players, don’t even try.
The problem is no one else will be able to sell anything unless we also participate on 1 at a time posting every 5 seconds. These bots are breaking the AH and running with the gold.
It’s decadent. Blizzard, please make the auction house experience better for actual players. Not to mention the server load this likely causes.
How can bots undercut each other ? Sure bots are used for gathering but how can a bot be so intelligent to not only put stuff on auction house but also undercut each other ?
I mean… go check and see for yourself. They are undercutting each other by 1 silver every 2-3 posts. It’s bots competing with bots. Search the item on the AH. I know this one cause i am checking it but i am certain that it’s happening on others too.
These are not herbing bots. They are bots that stay on the AH all day and keep reposting the same Auctions. There are addons that can set parameters for your auctions and post them with one click. All you need is a mechanical contraption or a script bot that hits your mouse key every time. It’s that easy. The addon already exists.
Why do you think bots wouldn’t mess with anything related to the market or gold directly? Also, what OP is describing happened long before AH was region wide.
Auctioneer and Auctionator post 1 silver below the price of the one above its always been that way for years. Who in their right mind puts items on the same price as other people?
I think it’s just people playing the AH. They don’t do anything else, so unless you want to do the same thing you cannot beat them.
If I have some stuff I want to sell (usually boe drops), I put it half or 3/4 the bottom price. Sells easy enough.
It’s not just people. People have to sleep. People do other things during the day. These are programs that repost the same auctions every 3 to 5 seconds. You can see their names. It’s the same ones. Normal people don’t post 1 enchant at a time on the AH. They post a stack.
No one in the world is reposting dozens of items manually every 3 seconds 24 hours a day. Literally. This is not an exaggeration, this is happening 24/7. I tried. I checked at different times. Always the same toons all the time doing the same thing. Open your eyes people. Don’t just sweep it aside. It IS happening.
I said at the start and will say again. These are programs or contraptions. There isn’t a person doing this manually. Zero chance of that.
