Blizzard please treat the Horde better

No

Well, I agree. It feels like the story was started by one team (during MOP, Garrosh and Darkspear rebellion), then continued by another, then a third writing team came, scratched their heard what to do, burned Teldrassil, then was kicked (Afrasiabi I mean), then the fourth team is scratching their heads what to do.

And this is the reason the Horde leadership is so long in the void.

But the Alliance, although factually experienced only one leader loss, in practice has also lost it’s soul to a very large degree. Because:

This, 1000%

So while you Horde guys have experienced a gradual decline in leaders, we suffered a sudden and unexpected turn of events, as we went from a glorious and inspiring example of a King, to a puddle of mush.

Rather than Horde & Alliance I really want them to focus more on the individual races.
Been way too much about Alliance (mostly humans) and Horde (mostly orcs), and the big name characters.

There’s barely been anything about dwarfs, gnomes, trolls and tauren.
Night elves and undead have gotten some spotlight, but it’s all been bad. Undead got it bad because of Sylvanas and Night Elves just loosing a lot every step of the way.

Would honestly like for the next expansion to be more focused on all races taking time to rebuild. Give them all their own main city(no more sharing) and the quests will be about building and expanding those areas. No big outside threat, just keep it internal for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom. Could also do with a general clean up after Cataclysm. Something the aspects could help with after their expansion now.

Dave Kosak was responsible for most stuff about Sylvanas until Bfa when Afrasiabi took control.

Rastakhan’s death was basically the final nail in the horde coffin for me.

Afrasiabi was a Senior Creative Director, in my understanding he was the decision-maker. There are rumors that he intentionally “sabotaged” the story through burning of Teldrassil, but I don’t believe this, IMO this is too far. I just think he might have thought it’s a fun direction of the plot.

Some people say that he wanted to get back at Metzen for killing Garrosh so he axed Sylvanas as sort of revenge. Believe what you will.

Hmm to kill Garrosh is one thing, but to burn Teldrassil is already too much. More little Garroshes can be born, but how long will it take for a whole gigantic Teldrassil to grow? Meh

It showed us that Blizzard will kill ANY Horde leader when it seems it raises the stakes and demoralizes the Horde players further. Considering the Zandalari completley disappeared from the plot after 8.1 it is telling what Blizzard feels about Trolls(Horde aligned).

He wasn’t even Horde for crying out loud!
If anything he was enemy of all, when the Zandalari banded together with the Mogu to rule the world again… yes, it was Zul, but Zul acted with his blessing!

Rastakhan denied his mission but he took those who were willing to follow him anyways. Rastakhan was Horde by the time the main story line pre to the war campaign was over. Talanji’s pledge was just a formality.

Rastakhan was NEVER Horde, nor the Zandalari
Uneasy allies, he welcomed the Horde because they saved her daughter - but untill the Alliance attacked the Horde ws just the tolerated guest of the Zanadalari Empire
After His death Talanji made VERY clear the Horde and her Empire are equals
Only on that cursed book she decided formaly join the Horde council

What often seems to be forgotten is the fact that the alliance wasn’t welcomed either in Kul Tiras at the beginning of the campaign in BFA. The guards were close to arrest the player when we arrived at the harbour in Boralus. It was basically the whole point of the leveling campaign for both factions to gain the trust of the two Island inhabitants.^^

We gained their trust and then Rastakhan saw us as actual allies. As he states in the 8.1 intro “With the Horde at our side the empire will triumph!”

I hope they carved that line on the gravestone of Rastakhan as one of the famous last words
Worked out them soooo well to befriend the Horde

Your threads are like a mushroom infestation… there are always spores around and they will be back. Maybe a different shape but still the same kind of mushroom.

WAAAGH!

Which was arguably also very bad writing. Unless their point was to depict the Kul’Tirans as next level stupid.

The player character was serving as a diplomat while also being a General in the Alliance. The Alliance could have very easily taken this as a declaration of war and invaded Kul’Tiras. Kul’Tiras was lucky that the Alliance wasnt after war and wanted their ships (which they had no way of knowing properly). Plus the Kul’Tirans didnt have access to their fleet at that point so if the Alliance had decided to invade there would have been no way to slow down the Alliances landfall. And the moment the Alliance would have started to use portals on land the nation would have fallen in a heartbeat.

And to make it worse they also threatened Genn and who knows what might have happened if we didnt arrive freshly out of prison right there and Cyrus keeping the guards at bay.

However the Zandalari werent depicted much better. Their arrogance was unfounded and they should have been thankful that Zandalar wasnt invaded by both the Horde and Alliance after MoP which both factions had just cause for.

He was important to horde players so they are rightfully upset about his demise. We learned to cherish him during Zuldazar.

The Alliance invaded Zandalar to get rid of their fleet and make them useless for the Horde war effort. Which was a full blown success no matter how hard you try to spin it. Nothing to do with MoP.

How about you first learn what im talking about before barging in? Im talking about Zuls shenanigans during Pandaria. Both the Horde and Alliance had a justifiable cause to invade Zandalar after that stunt of his.

Rastakhan should have been very quite when the Horde arrived given he survived his empires downfall only through a miracle by not getting invaded straight after MoP.
