Hunters can tame animals and related to animals (Robot animals, undead animals … ) but not straight monsters or demons. Though there are lot of cool designs. It gonna be outside of the pet sphere.
Well, technically, they are little more than animals. They’re basically a Zerg swarm, if you know what I’m talking about. Don’t see a problem why wouldn’t they be tamable. At least maulers, mites and gorgers.

I still want to be able to tame druids like that boss in Zangarmarsh and verbally abuse it from time to time and remind it that I made it a pet.

Well… if it can be skinned, it should also be tamable. Some abbreviates can be skinned, but not all. And if it can not be skinned, it should be enslavable for Warlocks. Remember that we can banish abbreviations as well as elementals and demons. Shamans get to have elementals, so why not enslavable abbreviations? Abbreviations and demons is kind of similar as they appears as invaders and are seldom actually native to the places where we find them.
