Instead of these crates which “can drop them”, make each mount cost 175 Seafarer’s dubloons.
BFA isnt current content anymore so i see no reason why not.

I’d be happy even if they were each 1k doubloons. Just remove the RNG from them.

Or just increase the dubloon drops… Only getting 3-5 per island is such a pain.

Do you have the dubloon trait on your ship enabled? I remember having this, and I would on average get 15-20 dubloons per 1 expedition.

I’m level 25 bro. But regardless of the trait, they could just make that baseline for everyone plus increase the amount of dubloons you get even further. 15-20 still feels on the low side if you want to farm every mount through boxes.

Why? As someone who farmed roughly 4k coins to have all the rewards from boxes + the buzzard boi, I see no reason to just make it easier now.
The expeditions are also available solo, so I suggest you get the trait soon and start doing them

Seriously, they drop 1/3 crates. They’re not hard to get.
BFA isn’t current content anymore, so you don’t have to find a group of 3 and can just blast down all the mobs.
Sure, I’m up for them making it easier for you in that sense. But you don’t deserve to be just given the reward just for turning up.
Even this would be a fine solution. But seriously, let there be some what work to do.

Yep. Look at it as a sort of Ironman challenge. I’m trying to complete as much content as I can without leveling past Vanilla level cap (60, now 25) :3
Because 4k coins would be 235 runs on average 17 coins each, that’s a long time when you consider avg queue time is 5-15 minutes.

I’m part of the minority who enjoy islands farming here tho I haven’t done them recently, the whole dubloon farm process is slower now.
I’ve basically spammed them in BFA and SL, it feels like they got stealth nerfed with the trait as well cause back in BFA I’d get something from 10-15 or 15-30 once in every 3 islands. Nowadays its only giving around 8-12, 10-16 if i get lucky.
I loved Islands during BFA. I’m glad I managed to get the last mount the week before 9.0 came out, because it definitely became a different game then.
There is still plenty of transmog I want from the event though.
Also put warfront sets to vendor and use currency from assaults to get those sets. It is almost impossible to get players for hc warfront and rng element from quest is too huge. I dont even remember how many cloaks i have gotten

The problem is, you are doing it on normal / heroic. You should do them on mythic, because the dubloon count is alot higher there. It’s also no queue, but you need to be 3.

I would still advice you to go with 2 friends. The mobs don’t scale to you solo, so you still have to do it by yourself, but if noone is around, you can do a couple yourself I suppose

Those sets are Recolours of the BFA Season 2 Elite PVP sets. You’re lucky they’re still in the game at all. They’re far too high quality to be given away.
I’am lucky one to have both sinister and dread gladiator elite sets+warfront sets, but now i have alt shaman and wlock and getting those sets is pain in the a**. There is too much rng in quest reward. Like i said, i dont remember how many cloaks i have gotten. I don’t mind if they smack high price on items. Only thing that matters is i get away from rng quest drop.
honestly, the Horde Sinister PVP Cloth set imo was the best mog in BFA. The warfront colour wasn’t quite as nice. There is another recolour that wasn’t available which was even nicer. But I’m jealous of anyone who has that Sinister Cloth set.

Actually very helpful! I’m strong enough to solo it myself and since it makes the queue times much quicker, I recon it’s actually faster than with 3 people.
You can solo run it in about 5 min on a max level char. Might as well make all mounts easy to get.
