Certainly can happen, where a perfectly normal comment gets filtered out for no other reason than someone not liking it. Then the Community Managers take their sweet time doing something about it.
You could easily make a post that has no inflamatory content, only for it to get censored out because it is critical of something that people consider to be “Protected”.
You can’t criticize the direction of whether or not certain characters should or could be gay or not, lest the gay mafia comes after you.

I guess it’s like getting married and hoping they don’t change but they do? Or are we comparing Jeffs new money printer to a product of peoples passion for gaming? Somehow not liking new world doesn’t make it better. If the only option to play is to be woke I’d rather not play. Obviously I wouldn’t normally care, but I don’t see a reason why blizzard is not letting me express myself, but lets others express themselves more, beyond the things I care about. I want to fart with the boys because I associate myself with the boys. Censoring this is exactly the same thing as deliberately censoring peoples ability to chose their pronouns after it’s being implemented. It is a form of hate and triumph of bigots over people they dislike, with which they have usually no interaction. This applies to both homophobes and this type of purism, both deny the other side the ability to express themselves, out of hate.

yes funnily enough I did actually read the post when it was first posted! There must be something there that doesn’t please the forum mods, or indeed the number of posters who also deemed it unsuitable.
Just because you personally don’t feel it’s wrong, doesn’t mean that it isn’t or indeed give you the right to throw insults, but there again looking at your post history, it doesn’t come as a surprise.

Personally, I am for the removal of all text based emotes. The ones with animations should stay. Everything else should be left up to macros. A macro /me farts on %t will obviously work. Macros can be profane as well. I don’t see these as a removal of anything. /me spits on %t. Bam.
Everything else is capitalism. You think Blizz made WoW out of the goodness of their heart? Really? The company that underpaid its employees and compensated with bonuses because bonuses aren’t taxed? This is the “passionate” company? WoW was being made when literally everyone was making MMOs. Blizzard weren’t poineers, they were businessmen. This is why they made WoW turbocasual compared to every MMO on the market then - because they wanted the lowest common denominator to play it.
WoW has a huge reputation to fix - from the game being bad to the community being largely toxic. You can see the toxicity the moment you enter M+.
One of the main points people raise about FFXIV, New World, and every MMO that steals WoW’s audience is how their communities are much better. And these games do not allow expression that makes other people’s time in the game worse. You can be banned in New World if you get too much into hating the other faction and start cursing them out.
MMOs are living games that change as needed. A genre that lives and dies on its community. And WoW is dying. The only people who are left are basically those that leave M+ keys 5 minutes into the dungeon.
