Blizzard said they want to expand Warcraft as an IP. What about a Warcraft: Total War game in collaboration with Creative Assembly?

Imagine it for a moment. You can play your chosen faction and fight however you like. Not necessarily bound by Horde or Alliance.

Just take Azeroth as a map, give every playable/major lore race an own capital on the map and have them fight out however they like it.

Warhammer 2 Total War and Warhammer 3 Total War both were major successes and their magic systems for special abilities for commanding characters allow for a lot of depth and funny shenanigans in combat.

Why shouldn’t it work with Warcraft as a setting too? In fact, there are some mods even out there for some Total War games that turn units/factions into ones from Warcraft.

And in all honestly, I would be willing to play 100€ for a Total War game set in the Warcraft universe, made by Creative Assembly.

Warcraft the Musical.

Will have Broadway in tears when Jaina has to leave Arthas…

Until the scourge folk from Stratholme start dancing and sing about the nasty prince…

Everquest 2 had this in 2004.

You could play the evil factions races but exile yourself then join the goodies.

After a very long quest chain.

pet battles on mobile?

Total War: Warcraft could be really cool honestly

With what is possible with single player rpg’s these days .

I would love to see a open ended single player rpg akin to skyrim set in the warcraft universe.

Edit: with free mod support

I would so play that even though I’m hooked on Metal Slug Awakening right now

I would probably play that and I definitely want a series of warcraft RPGs. Also the pet mobile game, very annoyed they discontinued it, much better idea than rumble. I only play Hearthstone at times because it is WoW themed, I hate card games. Oh imagine a CRPG in warcraft! Oooh I want all the things!!!

It was odd with the other Warcraft game for mobile. They clearly didn’t think they’d get enough traction with it. I did try Rumble but it wasn’t my cup of tea.
