Hey there together,
for the who really look into the beta phase and follow the development of the upcoming xpac, do you think they should delay it?
In my opinion they should, I’m not hating on blizzard, I just want to have a solid game.
So much is unbalanced, not finished, buggy and really not thought through.
So many specs have dead Talents since 4 years!
Even worse now that we don’t have the azerite traits anymore, which made some dead Talents viable. (Just as an example)
And there is still no sign of the pre patch, which I hope is a sign that they could maybe delay it.

I think it could be more polished and was expecting late November but I highly doubt they will delay it. I don’t think they’re really given a choice. So long as launch goes well, they should hotfix most immediate issues within the first week or so. They usually do.

No need to delay it
They will ballance it the best they can and the rest will be ballanced as the expansion goes on. There has never been a time where they have stopped balancing classes. They could delay it 2 years and still not be there

To be honest my biggest concern are the classes and specs, and I didn’t see any great progress (except shadow) in that area.
Which I think is the most important thing.
If your class is not fun / viable / buggy (ww monks hello) I think most won’t enjoy that

Nope.
I think SL needs to come out.
Covenants won’t be fixed until the mass player base gets a hold of it. Same for conduits, Legendary items, balancing in general.

No, they had their chance to announce a delay weeks ago.
They can’t back out now

But at least they should have a solid foundation for the specs, which they don’t have.
It’s not only on the balance between classes.
Just look how many dead Talents there are.
Or some specs need such high stats in haste / crit to work fluently.
Arms / unholy downtime are horrible.
Worse then usual at xpac start.
Just read the class us forums you see how much is still not working / overall issues the classes have.
There is so much good feedback that gets ignored since months
Is it arrogance or plain ignorance?

It’s not Blizzards call, their under the gun from Activision. over the past few years Activision have forced them to cut staff and increase profits and still imposed deadlines for content, there’s multiple ex Blizzard employees clearly stating this.
Its not Blizzard its all Activision, everything Blizzard does now is always going to be unfinished and behind schedule because of unrealistic deadlines imposed by Activision

i think alot of people are tired of bfa. Personally i am back for seeing the nzoth stuff a bit and the prepatch. Otherwise i’m not even sure if ill play shadowlands much/at all.
the first few days of the expanion will be good for gold making. untill multiboxxers and botters destroy the economy once again
So no more delay, if they delay shadowlands then atleast they should add some content patch for bfa

They didn’t do any major class reworks but the tuning kept happening.
But that was more so on azerite and corrupted gear.
But tuning never did stop coming our way.

And this is the problem!
They tune us through external systems instead of making the classes work on their own

Blizzard is not entirely innocent in this.
They prioritized implementation of systems that people didn’t want, ignored feedback and now we are about to get a unfinished mess barely able to stand on its legs.
Sorry, but there is also the argument that we are paying customers. Blizzard sure as hell did NOT prioritize optimization, balance and content.
I can empathize with the low tier developers being put into crunch, but I have no respect for the upper management at either the WoW studio or Blizzard Entertainment.
Bunch of headless chickens just running around at this point.

even so, a delay won’t change that
They will still keeping doing what they have always done
How much do you want them to delay the expansion? They won’t get anything done in a couple weeks and if they really want to release a solid expansion they would need MONTHS to fix it.
Everyone is done with BfA. Nobody wants to play this garbage anymore especially because there’s nothing left to do. We’re getting another sh*t expansion either way so there is literally zero point in delaying it.
No matter how unfinished the expansion is, something fresh will keep us happy for maybe a month until everyone is quitting again.
Maybe it would be good to change that lazy approach which would be better for the future of wow.

Completely agree, these borrowed power systems were the major downfall, Blizz were obviously blind at the eventual outcome or just did not have the time to fully test and predict the results and in Shadowlands these systems become even more prominent than before…its only going to get worse…at this point its inevitable.
At this point their too far in to stop and go back.
Shadowlands and the level squish was the ideal point to return back to class powers and class balance, which should have been the obvious way forward, but Blizz messed up and now its too late

We kind are blind too.
Look, whoever you chose to point the finger at in regards to these issues, Activision Blizzard only speaks one language.
Unless people boycott and unsubscribe no one is going to care or do anything.

They will never be done with it so get it out and do balancing an tweaking as the expansion unfolds
Best test is one on live servers :-o
Blizzard keeps saying their aware and promising to sort the problems out, and the player base are hoping they will but its starting to wear very thin now.
Shadowlands and these new systems and them actually working is going to be a major part of WoW’s future, maybe Blizz can pull off the impossible or not all we can do is wait and see
