Blizzard, what did you do to MM?

As the title says, I can’t understand this rework and what they pretend.

  1. The cast of aimed shot is way too long.
  2. Trueshot, our bursty exciting button, doesn’t feel bursty or exciting anymore.
  3. Cap to the mobs we can hit is ridiculous.
  4. Losing exciting talents like death chakrams with the stupid ‘button bloat’ excuse.
  5. Losing niche but useful spells like eyes of the beast isn’t good.
  6. Losing fortitude of the bear makes me feel squishy again.
  7. Auto attack important? WTF?
  8. We gotta play with steady shot, why remove the talent giving haste? At least pressing that talent made it a bit more exciting.
  9. Having to use multi shot or arcane shot between aimed shots, makes the focus disappear so quickly.

Isn’t all bad, at least we can have our pets with a talent, but feels like we lost a bit of utility. I like spotter mark but isn’t powerful enough.

As a M+, raid and a bit of PvP player I get declined to do a simple +5 because this rework is terrible and players know about it.
No mention to the meta classes list every single patch. And I’m one of those players who wants to play the class we love.

I suppose nobody on blizzard will read this thread and will take any actions to improve the MM situation but I’d like to read what other fellow mm hunters think about this rework.

i feel it for sure,

depending on talent build aimed shot either fires SUPER slow or so quick the GCD spazzes out. There is no need for a 0.1 sec cast time. it could just be made instant.

And the tier set being about auto attacks and lock n load is silly. the explosive shot proc needs to hit way harder. considering it only procs 8% of the time.

If you ever have to fire a ‘super slow’ aimed shot, you have either f’ed up or dont understand the spec.

You should never use aimed shot with atleast 1 stack of streamline.

I do feel the chance to hit l’n’l is abit low, over a +10 rookery i had 25 procs

The silly part about the tier set is that it was initally too strong, so blizzards ‘bandaid’ was to make precise shots, a talent thats mandatory, extend auto shots by 2 sec.

They will obviously need to revert this next tier with whatever new tier set they create.

  1. It’s literally not, just use the Windrunner Quiver capstone.
  2. It literally elevates your crit chance and crit damage to the moon, what are you on about? Previous iteration of it was a glorified haste button.
  3. It’s been there since forever by now.
  4. Chakrams were anything but exciting and had no thematic alignment with Marksman.
  5. No opinion on that.
  6. That one kinda sucks, I’ll give you that, but 3% reduced damage taken is still nice to have.
  7. Literally requires zero maintenance or tracking, why is it even a complaint?
  8. Because hunter already got serveral passives baked into Steady Shot by default and passive tree is riddled with other goodies.
  9. …oh for the love of… really? Your proper rotation drains your class resource? What a never-before-seen system, wow, how could Blizz do that to MM?!

Spotter’s Mark is a literal nuke btw, just drop the pet already and get another +20% AiS damage.

I won’t attest to M+ nor raids, but in PvP MM is a power to be reckoned with, unless you want to go directly to the Spirit Healer. The return of double-tap has given us an insanely powerful burst that usually forces a defensive out of a player. We still lack proper sustain and I think Exhiliration is the worst healing abilty in the game, whilst turtle literally signals to everyone that you’re about to become a defenseless honor kill.

In my opinion this is the best MM interation on my memory (I missed DF completely) and our rotation feels cohesive, even if steady shot phase is a snoozefest.

And that Lunar Storm. Jesus, I really hate it.

Especially in M+ and in scenarios like when you’re in a trash fight and the mobs are at 20%-30% and you just hold Rapid Fire because you don’t want to waste that 30 sec Lunar Storm that is tied to Rapid Fire on these mobs - you want it on the next trash pack!

Bring back Death Chakram plz.
Or better yet, bring back Legion MM. That has to be one of the most popular MM hunters ever.

Windrunner Quiver

Talent

Requires Hunter

Precise Shots can now stack up to 2 times, but its damage bonus is reduced to 90%.

Casting Aimed Shot has a 100% chance to grant an additional stack of Precise Shots.

Whats that got to do with aimed shot cast time? Streamline like Uld said makes it shorter…far as I can tell…

In raids, it’s just as frustrating when playing a Survival Hunter specced for single-target damage, as the only way to cleave adds—like the barrels on Rik Reverb HC—is with Lunar Storm. I have to stop throwing bombs, disrupting my DPS rotation, until it aligns with the adds spawn timing, which is absolutely ridiculous.

According to War Within Season 2 mythic DPS Rankings mm is on bottom third last

tl;dr - you get two streamline stacks that way

You will generate two Precise Shots per Aimed Shot cast, but your next Arcane/Multi Shot will still consume both Precise Shots stacks, granting you two Streamline stacks instead of the default one, wich in turn lower the cast time of the next Aimed Shot to around ~1.5s and smoothes out the gameplay loop.
