Instead of increasing the buff based on how many less Alliance are in War Mode than Horde - what Blizzard should have done, was DECREASE the buff based on how many more Horde there are than Alliance
So instead of 30% Alliance -10% Horde, it would be 10% Alliance-0% Horde
Those that PvP because they like to PvP will still do it
You still get to use the PvP skills in PvE
and those who were only doing it for the unopposed 10% buff, might turn it off
games - which many publishers seem to have forgotten - are meant to be enjoyed - you do activites in game because you enjoy those activities
when you design war mode they way it was done, it was guaranteed to force pvers into it - ensuring that it will be unbalanced due to the faction imbalance thats already inherent in the game
so you have a lot of people doing an activity they dont enjoy, just for % extras,
the goal is to equalize the numbers in warmode - once thats done, blizzard can actually work out the phasing side
The pvp talents being enabled in world content is enough reward
The pvp that happens isnt a waste of time
The resource bonus can exist at 10% for the overrun faction
Bonus rewards should be honour for every WQ (amount to be determined) just like Incursions award conquest
But bonus AP/Resources/Gold Will attract people who consider pvp ‘lost time’
Just honor - it won’t work.
There must be some incentive to get players to enable War Mode. And if it’s just honor - even most PvPers would turn it off to do their daily chores as quickly as possible and go for Arenas/BGs because both can give more than just honor.
If instead of % rewards we got Conquest as a currency and PvP vendor that sell all items (not just Azerite) - that would be a lot better.
Killing players in WPvP should award more honor
Looting bounties / airdrops should give conquest more than once per day, similar to random BGs - full amount on 1st, and lower on next.
Assault already give Conquest, so it’s great!
25 kill weekly quest should also reward Conquest (weird, but it’s not right now).
Being a bounty should give 1 Conquest per killing blow (so players drop it less), but only if in party or solo, not in raid. Maybe as a kill counter that you then can cash out at Call for Arms NPC, with this kill counter reset.
Add raid quests (like attack main city for example) and give Conquest rewards
This kind of system will appeal for PvP players and it’s going to make War Mode more interesting for everybody; and PvE players won’t feel pushed into it.
Plus - PvP vendor will make a lot of players very happy.
