I suspose it would of been more a dream then reality the idea of being able to insta gear multiple characters to mythic raid level I guess would pee off both pvpers and raiders
it’s not even that fast tbh because valor is capped, it takes about 5 weeks to upgrade a piece fully so it’s not a really decent source of upgrades
We literally just saw 2 pictures.
This patch is so far behind on development it’s not even funny.
As for:
My hope is that they’re skipping the 9.3 patch.
Just going to SL conclusion in 9.2 with the new expansion releasing next year.
Not likely to happen, but you know… Hope springs eternal.
5 weeks?! I’m guessing from 184? Best not be 5 weeks from 213 to 220 that’s abit extreme.
Should be 1 piece from 200 to 220 a week imho hopefully that will see adjustment though… prolly gonna be the next thing we have to screech about.
If they sell me a 1 year expansion at the same price as a 2 year expansion I expect a 50% refund.
The road map.stipulated 2 years, so I feel like they will be sued massively for misleading us
Well i’m done with SL not impressed. My sub runs out end of the month. I’ll resub for tbc classic.
I’ll see what 9.2 entails. Shadowlands is just not fun for me. It’s so boring.
Wod and bfa i wasn’t this bored. Not saying they are better expansion , but i wasn’t this bored as i am in SL
Well it’s not very clear exactly how it works, but from the lowest ilvl in 9.0.5 it’ll take exactly 5 weeks to reach max upgrade, m+ starts at 187 so I would assume it’s 5 weeks from that ilevel (?)
Imho I find it’s largest flaw being it’s a 9.0.5 feature and not a 9.1. the fact old gear doesn’t work with it and more seems weird.
They shoulda just raised the drops ilevel to match heroic and upped it to 3 pieces. Then launched this valor system in 9.1…
It’s clunky as hell coming in during a tier as we will have to refarm to then be able to upgrade.
But I guess with that timegating we will prolly have a piece or 2 to get those upgrades anyway
But as I say I think the Valor system can be good prolly needs some polish but its a system like the current PvP system which was very successful imho
Meh. The less time I have to spend in that depressing place, the better.
I long for a time again like Legion. It was as near perfect as you could get, imo.
That’s also true lmao, in any case for a lot of people this is not what they expected from valor (me included), what we expected was some sort of PVE vendor that works for when loot doesnt drop in m+ so at least we get something on top of anima that is useful
I will take SL before legion or BFA. But personal taste
Both expansions were too heavy in content and made the game a full time job.
Legion without its legendary system and removing the mandatory status from WQs plus removal of both TF and WF I’d likely accept though.
All those systems were toxic AF. The day you get benched for something entirely out of Ur own control.
Which is what I enjoy. It’s what MMORPGs are about imo.
If I wanted light content I’d play a moba or something.
Not me. Those were some of the things that made the expansion so good for me.
I get it, but none of that was a concern to me.
Tbh Valor is good. It’s questionable if it’s fine as the only addition though.
Like the ability to progress your gears ilevel removes to need to refarm the same item several times over in progression periods. .
I think the issue is it’s the only system coming in.
If we saw the game return to
3 drops per run
Valor upgrade system
Combined, they’d of likely seen a uproar in positivity
Oh definitely, it could potentially save the expansion if they went back to a more decent loot system, as it is now it’s too unrewarding
While yes. But in legion raiding may aswell not of existed. You coulda turned it into a single player game and it’d of been a poorly written game with the same ilevel progressions
The day you can classify a mmorpg into that is a day where the games going down a bad road. Legion was too far one way SL is too far down the other way.
However the way SL is moving doesn’t make the game a full time job making it preferable
But that’s view point realistically, just seemed whack to me to introduce something that makes the verticle progression system pointless in a game based on verticle progression
I mean running raids on every difficulty, doing 10-20 m+ runs a week ontop of every WQ on the map every box and more. The game was in a place where it could consume like 80 hours a week of your life
The problem with its content wasn’t the quantity. The problem with legions content was the fact they made it too heavy before fitting the verticle grind ontop of it.
You can’t make a 40 hour a week content consumption
Then add the 40 hours a week for the verticle grind ontop of it.
It needs to be collective, so your world content, solo progression content, your dungeon content and your raid content need to add up collectively to a reasonable expectation a week to progress.
No game should be warranting players to push 80+ hours into it and still missing out on stuff.
However legions currency exchanges for the bloods, the mage tower, and dungeon design imho was really good and I’d love to see SL move in those directions with those things…
My guess is we will prolly see this loot iterated on multiple times til they find a balance between what we had in BFA and what we have now.
Once this is tested it will get feedback. Hopefully blizzard comes to some compromise with the playerbase and we see it polished correctly.
I was disappointed because I expected more.
The information leak didn’t help, we got to know most of what they showed beforehand. I guess what I was expecting was a look into what they are working on past 9.1. Aka not detailed but still something.
But yeah it shows that Blizzcon came too early for WoW news. Observing the staff did show they seem all a bit too overworked over there (I dread to think how the lower workers must feel if the higher ones already look overworked). So it seems I should lower my expectations a fair bit for this expansion.
It’s good they offered this for free, because it was all a bit cobbled together.
I do agree that it shouldn’t all be mandatory, but rather optional. BUT… it all needs to be worth it; in SL it just isn’t (it was for a little while, then it just pumped the breaks into a full stop).
I just like having something to work towards.
There’s much, much too little of that in SL through the content I like doing.
But I won’t go into all of it again; been doing that enough the last weeks.
Save to say: 9.1 content is a disappointment for me and I won’t be renewing my sub, which runs out in 10 days.
9.1 is super disappointing to me, but I’m very happy about TBC and Hearthstone’s updates. So at least I will get to enjoy Warcraft in some shape or form over the coming year.
It’s a shame I got that 6-month subscription a while back, on top of a 3-month sub I already had. I really regret that, knowing it can only be used for more of… this.
Blizzcon was a pleasure. New WoW content as expected. We knew everything that was coming for WoW, so no surprises there.
However, what this Blizzcon managed to do is get me excited for OW2, which is a FEAT. I fully expected that game to be an OW reskin with some pve shoved in for good measure. Now it is a game I want to play.
D4 looking great, but that’s really not a surprise.
Then hey did it…
They showed the perfect Diablo 2 remaster trailer. Better than what I could expect. Me and my mates discussed that trailer for THREE HOURS. I went to bed at 4AM.
Also, Anduin’s transformation was SO COOL. I am hyped to learn how we get to that point in the plot!
