Block certain names of being used

Damn that is something to get upset about, while if you look up characters there are a ton called Izan or Izanami to find, just flip them around and it has a whole other meaning. But hey guess it only counts when they step on your fragile toes.

Im not and do not accuse anyone of anything unless its true which in this case it is.

The issue here is when ppl throw insults at others from a certain part of the world sombody from that part of the world is always gnna say nope your wrong which by the way you are with that statement you made.

Perhaps look at what i replied to before casting aspurtions at me ?

Just a sidenote, today I wanted to name one of my guildbank tabs as “Cook JC Enc” because I gathered those profession recipes there. I couldn’t because it contained “mature language”.

Will you find out which was the problem?

The JC part. I had to google it why and it seems it is the abbreviation of Jesus Christ and probably this is forbidden… or Julius Caesar. I really don’t know now.

I had a druid named Thong for years also. The fact bikini is sensored but not thong is interesting.

For you maybe, for me it’s actually an ostrich and some band I never heard of before, then two articles on Dachau, where the authors misspelled the town’s name, a torpedo class of ships, and a lot of people/shops/industries called Dachou, which seems to be quite a normal name out in the big world.

And as a PS. it seems Dachou - spelled thus - is also a town in China

There is a … in my garden :notes:

You’re proving my point.
(And also seem to have misunderstood it badly)

Part of Sothern denmark (Nord Schleswig), eastern part of Belgium, south tyrol (Italy), Alsace-Lorain (France) ,Argentinia (yes- we all know why ), Brazil (same reason as teh neighbor), Transylvania (Romania) , Luxuenbourg, Lichtenstein and Nanibia: Are your sure about that?

Yes, I’m sure about that. All these groups are tiny minorities.

I did use the word “almost” for good reason. While I acknowledge the existence of those communities, they pale in comparison to the amount of people who speak English as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd language.

If you think otherwise you are delusional.

For example, I am currently in China. Shanghai to be precise, but this is the case all over the country: There used to be a German speaking Jewish minority near the Pudong river, and they were only there because they fled. That’s all the German you’ll get. Meanwhile, there’s English on literally every road sign. Even when travelling away from the city centers, still the English influence prevails.

While most people speak little or broken English, the fact that it is the lingua franca besides Mandarin on the other side of the planet in such a culturally rich country bears witness to the extent it has conquered the world. English is everywhere, German is niche by comparison.

English’s became so dominant that the communist party legitimately tried to kill Chinese characters in favour of its writing system (and we know is the English one due to the presence of W). They failed, fortunately, but most Chinese now use English spelling to input characters into their phone.

And here you are telling me that English is not that influential? Get real. Honestly.

Probably coz it’s an Aussie term for sandals

You can count that amount on one hand….

First of all it’s called “Dachau”.
Second, it’s a city in Germany, not just a concentration camp. Obviously this name is not illegal nor offensive.
Where you see offense and a reason to complain, other people don’t. Get a grip. There are literally places called after it… for a reason. To remember and respect.
Kinda ironic that a guy who wants to dictate how people should feel and what people should do is complaining about someone using a German city as his character name.

There are really problematic names but you choose to complain about the least offensive one. Well freaking done.

If I might cite myself. Are you sure they were not from China any of them?

Are you calling my country the N-Homeland? How dare you.
As a German I am offended by your posts. I couldn’t care less about people naming them self after any of our towns.
Literally nobody cares. But you, you are are different caliber. You label my country and everybody living in it Naz… What is wrong with you. In your strive to being offended on behalf of anybody, you offend those ones. Get a grip.

Russian translation of Dachou is Dacha, which is a house. You can easily see why someone would want to name there character as a house. The English phrase of built like a brick toilet comes to mind.

Instead of always thinking the worst maybe do some research. You could always ask the player. I am sure if they had a genuine reason for the name they would tell you.
