Blood DK talents and legendaries

Hey all, just a few things. IMO Ossuary should be baseline. It will never NOT be picked! Most of our talents are pretty set and very difficult to change, mostly.

Legendaries. CRW is great but it would be great to see a little more diversity on legendaries. Blood Boil is a staple of blood and not 1 legendary has any interaction with it at all. Maybe one where it has chance to double activate when VB Is active or something like that, or while VB id active BB does more damage, anything?! Just abit more flare to the spec.

ST is a sore point. This needs to be addressed I think.

This is all in context for m+ Btw. I don’t raid. Any ideas?

BB already hits twice when DRW is active. BB’s damage is already in a pretty good spot as well. For m+ tho, I would like to see a threat multiplier on BB seeing as how, even with DRW active I still lose aggro alot early into the pull. For ST I suppose death strike should hit alot harder than what it currently hits for. Also make blooddrinker stronger cus as it stands right now it’s still better than heartbreaker but the damage and healing on it is still quite mediocre.

They are buffing Consumption for 9.1.5, but 60% more damage is still not even close to making it a viable choice over Hemostasis.

Generally I agree though. Some talent rows basically have one option.

  • L15: Heartbreaker for dungeons. Blooddrinker for raids. Don’t really see a scenario where I would pick Tombstone. I would rather see a talent there that buffs Marrowrend maybe so it gives more boneshield charges and maybe more damage
  • L25 Hemostasis is so far ahead of the other options that we don’t really have any choice here.
  • L30 All options are viable and have their pros and cons. Fairly balanced row.
  • L35 Will of the Necropolis is default pick. Maybe there are some raid bosses where mechanics can be cheesed with lower AMS cooldown?
  • L40 Fairly balanced I guess as these are all situational picks.
  • L45 2/3 talents viable. Death Pact is a trap and makes no sense for Blood that already has so much self healing.
  • L50 Fairly decent talent row although I think that bonestorm should be baseline for blood. Maybe bring back blood mirror, which was a fun ability.

Legendary choices are also quite limited. You play either CrW or extra diseases.

Blood isn’t in a bad spot in terms of tankiness, but we are still the only tank without a proper damage cooldown. Having the BfA version of DrW that gave us strength on use and increased duration by spending runes would have been a good start.

Or simply let all 3 specs have army of the dead. Unholy would still have it’s advantage with modifiers and mastery scaling.

Yeah this is another problem. It helps to have swarming mists + bonestorm for a pull, but it shouldn’t be mandatory. Increasing threat modifier would be a good help.

I would also like to see a solid buff to Marrowrend so it becomes a more natural choice to use for ST when spending runes. Checking the dmg from my previous dungeon run the average Heart Strike hit was 1526 while average damage for Marrowrend was 1489. It’s less than 4% of my overall damage in a dungeon.
For an ability with the description “Smash the target” it does pathetic damage. In fact, it’s our lowest direct damage ability. Even auto-attacks do more damage.

Even if they increased the damage by 100% so it’s on par with Heartstrike in terms of dmg pr rune spent, it’s still behind on RP gain pr rune spent.
