Blood Elf Enchanter disadvantaged

Hi all,

So I have been levelling all my professions and came to my Blood Elf enchanter to get Legion Enchanting to max skill level. As Blood Elf we have the Racial Passive Arcane Affinity (adds 10 points of Enchanting skill to max 110)

Great!? I find not!

I want to get the Legion Master of All achievement and this Blood Elf racial trait seems to work against it as I have to level it to 110 instead of 100. Since all enchants turn green at skill level 100 the last 10 points are required a lot of materials to get the last 10 points while making “green” enchants. As Blood Elves are assuming to be Enchanting Specialist (due to its trait) this seems more a curse than a blessing compared to non Blood Elf Enchanters who only require to skill level 100 to get the same achievement)

Please share your thoughts!

Kind regards,

I had the same issue in wod with mining as the pick axe I had gave +10 mining, so I wasn’t getting any skill points over 100 and not able to max out the skill thankfully the answer for me was just to take the axe out of my bags with the arcane affinity racial im not sure theres anything you can do but I agree its not really that fair

Unless the BfA profession system overhaul changed this, your +10 skill is inactive for purposes of determining when formulas go yellow/green/grey. If something is green for you at 100, it would still be green if you race changed and lowered it to 90.

To be sure, you could check each formula on Wowhead and see if there’s a color mismatch.

thing is that while a +skill racial sucks to max out, it makes the prof much easier to level up.
Also, dont forget about crafting wqs for enchanting. Each and every you do gives +1 skill.
