An 800 gold price is ridiculous to upgrade a mount that was already a grind and paid for. Why not just make its speed automatically upgrade with purchasing epic riding skill?
Also if we are to pay for the 800g, the raptor/tiger mount should be upgraded to an epic aesthetic like the nightsabers/raptor racial mounts.

AFAIK the 2 mounts from the event are the legendary unused appearances from Vanilla that were never available at any point. You have no idea how valuable they are. Retail collectors would pay 10M gold to get their hands on them. It woud be a disaster if they got “upgraded” to generic epic cats / raptors automatically

in tbc you get flying mount, you pay for the 60% flying speed mount first, and then the 280% speed flying mount.
the epic ground mount has been in vanilla since the dawn of the game.

yes but they were not locked behind a skill. In your spell book you will see something like horse riding or cat riding or what ever riding, you cant ride a ram without ram riding but if you have it you can ride the epic version of that type of mount.
Clearly by “epic riding” he meant “any of the N skills that allow you to ride an epic mount”.
Its the same bloody skill that lets you ride normal mounts and thats what I have been trying to tell him… So no there is no epic riding skill
If you need to buy it then it’s a different skill to the player

You dont have to buy any new skill FFS, unless you want to use a epic mount that is another type of mount… So if you know how to ride horses you can ride any horse but not any Ram. You never have to learn more than one riding skill in vanilla unless you for some reason want to learn how to ride some other races mount.

Thank you, yeah its odd that there is just 1 level of riding in vanilla when every other expansions have had more levels. Its easy to forget but it is how it is, and thats the reason why the bloodmoon mounts cost 800 to upgrade as they cost the same as every other epic mount.
