I’ve been working, on and off, over the years on getting Insane title. I got my rogue to Honoured with Bloodsail a while back. I left it at that then wondering if I should continue to Exalted (as only Honoured is required for title). With the 50% rep buff I decided I’d continue on and get Exalted so over the last couple of days I did a few hours of running along the docks of (the phased) Booty Bay and hit 11,999/12,000. Then the rep stopped.
I googled and it seems that only Booty Bay Bruisers offer rep for Revered, I assume I can’t get these in the Phased Booty Bay I’ve been using. It also suggested I do it in Warmode as the Bruisers are easier to kill.
My questions are mainly, how easy is it to find the Bruisers? Are they scaled to max level (my rogue is 63)? How often will I be ganked in Booty Bay?
And also, is it worth it? I don’t think there is any reward for Exalted with Bloodsail Bucaneers.
Should I just go and get from Hated to Exalted with Steamweadle Cartel while the 50% buff is there.
The bruisers outside of Chromie time were level 30, At least in warmode, that’s pretty trivial even if they appear to have no legacy buff they still die pretty quickly.
OK, that should be easy then. Are they quite common? Will I be waiting for spawns a lot?
When I did the phased town I started at the end of the dock where the boat comes in and ran to the other end killing everything and I flew back to the dock again and everyone had respawned. So it was a constant stream of mobs to kill. So even though most of them only gave 5 rep it racked up pretty steadily.
I’ll see how tricky it is.
I’ve been to booty bay to see how quickly I can get there but it’s still phased (I abandoned that Bloodsails End quest). So I went and turned on Warmode and it’s phased. A long flight to get there only to find it’s still phased…
Jokes on side but I admire you for even trying to push it that high, I just moved that rep in inactive part so it doesn’t bother me when I look all other exalted reps

or if you need to game - do something actually fun - such a meaningless grind cannot be fun no matter what.
I have known people trying to do something more insane doing during Rep Buffs like the current one since Blizz changed that it only buffs the gained but not lost rep.
Like Getting Exalted with Ravenholdt while being Neutral with Syndicate AT THE SAME TIME!
This is the part of Insane I’m not looking forward to.
I’m about 4k into Revered and the only way to gain rep now is pickpocketing thousands of boxes from murlocs in Quel Danas.
I’ve given up on the Bloodsail and started on Steamweedle. From a little googling I think I may have broken Booty Bay until I finish the quest line and to finish it I need to get back to Neutral to pick up and hand in the quests.
Looking at options for repping up with Steamweedle without losing Bloodsail. There are mobs in Grizzly Hills so might try that for a while. A tedious slog ensues.
I’m not sure about Grizzly hills but generally the best mobs for Steamwheedle are considered to be the Wastewanders in Tanaris (behind the caverns of time) mainly due to their density. Yes their primary rep is for Gadgetzan but the other 3 factions get half the rep and it’s better to mow mobs there than to hunt them in low density areas like Northern Barrens or Northern Stranglethorn.
The title is accountwide meanwhile but you need to get all reputations done on one character first.
So one character first need to get exalted on Ravenholdt, Steamwheedle and Darkmoon and honored on bloodsails first before they can have it on all characters.
Though just like Hero of Shattrath you could just first gain honored on Bloodsails and then Exalted in Steamwheedle vice versa but you don’t have to be Honored on Bloodsail while being Exalted on Steamwheedle at the same time.
yeah, the Grizzly Hills one sucked, low spawn rate and they’re scattered in different areas.
So I went to Tanaris (I thought you lost Bloodsail there but you don’t so perfect). Loads of mobs and fast respawn, only issue was competition. I joined a farming group and we ran around there for the last few hours. I’m now friendly with Gadgetzan and 25,000/36,000 Hated with Booty Bay. So a good session. Couple more of those and I’ll be done.
