Testing Mountain Thane on Fury, I have noticed that the Bloodthirsts/Bloodbaths almost NEVER proc the Thunder Blast while you have the Whirlwind buff. I spent 30 mins cleaving the target dummies without using any CDs like Avatar or Recklessness (to avoid sure procs) and all I got was 3 procs of Thunderblast which is ridiculous, when the tooltip says 35% chance to proc. Please look into this, because this is the reason Mountain Thane is falling behind the Slayer specialization.
