Blue Circle around NPC + AOE circles?

Hi, so I normally go to customer support for things that break my game, but this isn’t very game breaking and infact seemingly benifical, however I have no idea what is causing it so I shall ask the community. I will give as much detail as possible to help people get a general idea of what may be causing it be it related or not.

I see AOE rings.

  • I have 19 horde characters and 12 alliance characters.
  • This NEVER happens on horde.
  • It only happens on some of my alliance characters.
  • I have no debuffs and/or visual settings that would be causing this

Here are screenshots of what I am talking about.

I personally think this is awesome, and the reason I am looking help is because I hope for this to be like a built in thing that I can toggle, but something tells me that it’s part of something I triggered and that it’s supposed to be gone by now.

You can put links between ``.

You may have a quest active that triggers you to see this if you’re not stealthing against NPC enemies.

@Saneko

Hi, I know what they are haha :stuck_out_tongue: I just think it’s super handy and useful and would like all my characters to see it… but I don’t think it’s possible. Also if it’s a bug I don’t know how to get rid of it I don’t have active quests that are the same as I mentioned above this is happening on multiple alliance characters and none of their quests are the same. The screenshots where taken on a 81 druid I can see them on a Paladin and on a Monk… and some others haven’t logged them all yet.

Well i’am leveling alliance DK now and i can see those circles around Stormwind Guards sometimes, as if someone from horde is doing questline to rescue Talanji, i think it may be a bug, and we shouldn’t see it after all.

Could it be an an addon?

It’s certainly not the addon, at least those blue circles, these are standard ui from blizzard to show range in which enemies can detect your stealth.

Heya Ranmao,

This is a bit of a strange but more strange that it’s only on a few of your characters. It is possible likely that it’s UI related. I’d start of with a reset of the games ui to it’s defaults. You can rename the folders to keep back ups of your UI.

Once done, login and see if the issue persists. If it does, type the /console cvar_default in chat as this should reset the server side saved settings to their defaults. You will want to check each character effected, as this command mostly only reset’s character specific variables.

Hopefully this helps you out.
