This has been known for a while now.
Well. It didn’t make sense in the first place. Sunwell isn’t just a pure source of arcane anymore. It’s basically a combination of light and arcane which turns blood elf eyes golden. So either gold, or green. Blue didn’t make sense for blood elves. And the rest of the high elves that still have blue eyes aren’t part of horde or alliance.
Hahahahahahhahahahahaaahahaaaaa!!!
No chance! If anything I think it adds hope to the HE wanters.
Really? You been chatting with Ion personally?
It’s not new. It’s been known for a while and I read about it being confirmed npc only over a week ago. Did it only just now hit a certain website or did one of the youtube talking heads make a video about it today?
Yes - Ion only just confirmed it in an interview. So not sure how it was ‘confirmed’ beforehand. It may have been speculated I guess.
Just use priest Nighthold mythic headpiece on your belf and you have perfect blue glowing eyes
Just like priests had in WC3
Try to deny that Ion
Its combination of two so its obviously golden!
Hurr
Durr
And the rest of the high elves that still have blue eyes aren’t part of horde or alliance.
Well you’re not right. High Elves are part of the Alliance. You can find info in wowpedia or other sites.
Join stromgarde warfront as alliance and you will find many high elf npc that fight for alliance in warfront. Also many many others in stormwind.
Another also;
And the Silver Covenant, and the Highvale elves, and the elves in Allerian Stronghold…
I really don’t get this debate. The High Elves are the Blood elves, and they’ve been playable as a Horde race for like 13 years now. They’ve simply changed their name as tribute to most of the population being slaughtered by the scourge.
Just because a handful of them didn’t want to follow the new leader and never returned tot heir homeland doesn’t make them a new race. Heck it’s not even a generational thing or anything as Elves reproduce very slowly due to their long life-span, the High elves that were in Silvermoon before the scourge invasion are the EXACT SAME PEOPLE that became the blood elves and are playable in the game to this day.
Whether blood elves get blue eyes or not as a customization, they’re still high elves. They won’t give the Alliance a copy pasted race from the Horde, I thought the compromise with the void elves was the final nail in the coffin that this is never happening.
I find it awkward we even need to explain this, this is like kindergarten level logic.
And what color is used for Arcane?if it use to be blue, and now its somehow green?but its still a font of light/arcane power?what deduction skills are that?
No.
Blood elves did.
Who said so?
What is being asked for is for a group of the Alliance to be made playable in the Alliance, that’ pretty easy and straightforward to not being able to be understood.
Well, given that you didn’t even know how to separate the meanings of the name High elf and Blood elf I can’t see how this phrase of yours can be applied to those who you direct it towards.
TL:DR High elves, those who still call themselves like that, aren’t Blood elves, and aren’t Horde but Alliance.
You mean how HM and LF also aren’t a new race but simply glowing Draenei and Tauren with antlers, but were added as separate races regardless?
I don’t really care about this whole debate, but after the allied races this excuse doesn’t really hold water imo.
The High Elves have been in the game in the form of Blood Elves for the longest time and it has been stated so multiple times, not only by Ian but by previous developers too, ever since their addition in TBC. And they are a Horde race.
You can either accept it, move on and embrace the character you’re playing or spend yet another 13 years from now on whining about it. It ain’t happening either way.
No they’re not. Sorry.
They went through magic transformation of abandoning arcane after Sunwell destruction to use the power of fel, while banding together with Illidan forces in Outland story.
It’s not just renaming.
If you were right, then technically also Void elves are High elves and nothing other.
You also have two footholds in Crystalsong forest. One allied with the Horde (the blood elves), the other allied with the Alliance (the High elves).
High elves are a separate race at this point.
Yep, awkward that you can’t even know the difference and also official lore of this.
As I mentioned, you can find official source on wow sites.
Blood elves = Horde
High elves = Alliance
And that’s it.
…fixed that one for you.Your welcome. And the shocker is both of those are High elf races.
