Blueprints for Naval in Draenor

Hello.

I recently started doing old content in Draenor like Naval missions. Saw the different blueprints you could discover on the map and went out to collect them. Firstly I collected the Ghostly Spyglass blueprint, accepted the quest and went to the vendor by my dock and turned it in. Didn’t recieve the ability to buy the Ghostly Spyglass in the vendor…

Then I went to kill the “Savage Whale Shark”, says on Wowhead “Trained Shark tank” has 99% drop chance, killed it like 4x times but no loot. Either i’m the most unlucky guy on earth or it’s bugged. Also I proceeded to kill other rares like Belgork for his blueprint drop, didn’t recieve it either, and now he’s not rare anymore and doesn’t drop any loot.

Are these bugged or am I doing it wrong?

Did you do all the quests available in the shipyard, especially the one unlocking equipment vendor ( Equipping Our Fleet )? That quest is required before the other blueprints will drop.

This is almost certainly the correct answer

If I am not mistaken, the quest required to be able to receive blueprints is “A True Naval Commander” ( Alliance \ Horde ).

You may want to complete the whole Shipyard introduction questline to be on the safe side, though!
