Blur and Darkness ain't enough

How can you design a melee class that can’t survive in close-range? 20% damage reduction for 10 seconds every minute and 20% avoidance in a tiny area every 3 minutes is bare bones compared to what other classes get. This is the biggest problem right now in pvp, they completely gutted all our defensives and we got nothing in return. In pvp now everyone targets the havoc DH first even before a healer because they know it has no defensives. If it was a problem that havoc DH gets passive survive through leech and blade dance dodge then they need to give active abilities to survive like rogue has. I have a feeling this is spite by someone at Blizzard because “a simple class shouldn’t be good”, so they’re punishing this class for their own stupid class design.
