*blurry red text only*

Hi all, bought a new TV yesterday TOSHIBA 32L3863DB 32’’ but I have noticed in-game all text in red is very vibrant /fuzzy / blurry? It’s on HDMI cable at the moment from PC to TV.

My in-game resolution scaling is at 100%, I tried every setting in game but no luck. My Nvidia is alls et up properly even used the experience software to optimise the game and all drivers is up to date.

My graphic card is a Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 pretty newly bought as well. Any one had similar issue and found a fix?

Thanks guys,

It’s a TV not a computer monitor. 1080P is not so sharp anymore on that large screen size and can cause all kinds of artifacts on the screen. Try changing the picture settings in the TV.

TV might not support 4:4:4 colour or you need to set the TV (or your video cards pixel format) to Full RGB/4:4:4 manually. This is always noticeable when you use a TV as a PC monitor.

As others have said, it’s time to invest in a proper monitor. A TV should not be used anymore as they operate on the 50 Hz band these days if they don’t detect a push from their source to swap their refresh rate; something a graphic card cannot do. In the olden days, TVs had a set refresh rate; In Europe it was 60 Hz (PAL) where as in NA it was 50 Hz (NTSC), but TVs could also produce higher (like 100 Hz).

Try enabling Vertical Sync and Triple Buffering to get rid of the jagged edges. Downside to using this though is that you will have more input delay. Best thing you can do is buy a cheap knock off monitor from amazon (amazon deutschland has good deals for like €80 or even under) to at least have much less of an eye-strain.
