I’m reaching out here after completely exhausting all known troubleshooting options for the BLZBNTBTS0000005C error. This issue appears when launching Battle.net – specifically, the Update Agent fails to start.
Here’s a list of everything I’ve already tried (multiple times):
Restarted PC
Deleted Battle.netfolders fromProgramData,AppData\Local, andAppData\Roaming
Closed all running Blizzard processes in Task Manager
Reinstalled Battle.net app
Reinstalled all Blizzard games
Tried creating a new admin account and installing from there
Whitelisted the app in my antivirus
Used Revo Uninstaller to remove all Battle.net traces before reinstalling
Followed all official support steps from:
- BLZBNTBTS0000005C Support Page
- Deleting Battle.net Files
Scoured Reddit, YouTube, and other forum threads for any workaround
Yet the issue persists. The installation either fails to progress or ends up looping the same error message on launch.
At this point, I’m out of ideas and would truly appreciate any advanced-level fix, internal support escalation, or developer-level insight. I’m really hoping to get back to my games without a full system reset.
