So i’ve heard that BM DR was buffed. I’m doing keys mostly in MM DR so I wanted to try new spec and learn the priority and ‘rotation’ as you may say. I expected at least more aoe damage. Sooo I did Prior with BM and then MM both in DR. The difference is dramatic: MM DR did more dmg both aoe and boss damage (both with bursts on both specs).
I grind most of gear for both specs: ara-kara trinket, pacemaker, Lily, So’leah Technique, a bunch of rings like it’s Frodo’s prom party, Impaler and Yasahm, some necks, 4pcs. I sim myself to death, the tin can said that i should have at least +0.5mil dps in BM DR, but i can’t see it in-game.
What am i doing wrong? Skill issue? Any opinion and tips are greatly appreciated.
Your stats are probably wrong BM DR verse crit and haste having a strong on use trinket and using it properly during your damage window is huge as well.
BM DR is also not great in keys for BM, PL is still the better choice for M+ assuming you have the stats for it.
BM in general is also much higher in terms of APM (actions per minute) compared to many other specs if you’re missing out on black arrow procs your damage will fall off a cliff.
So you need to be constantly mashing keys making sure you don’t waste a global just before black arrow comes up while also maintaining frenzy and making sure you don’t over cap on things.
i am loving dr in keys massive burst damage every 1 min yummy though outside of cd windows and especially if your getting bad luck on proc’s your damage can really suffer more so then mm as bm is far more proc reliant and i don’t just mean black arrow procs but if all the stars align you will blast but sadly it seems to seldom happen
Yeah BM DR damage outside their CD window is pretty weak and pretty much down to luck, hence why our two bis trinkets are on use ones the ritual forge and netherprism, and you alternate between the two forge when no/low prism stacks and prism once you have the stacks it’s all about blasting during CD’s and recharging whenever they are on CD
