Hey fellow hunters
Are BM hunters low on dps overall in Uldir mythic? When I raid on my hunter main which is equally geared in ilvl to my demon hunter I perform so much worse in terms of dps, at least on the first 4 bosses in mythic. Is the problem the class or my performance?
On my BM hunter I am mostly on the lower mid of the dps but on my demon hunter I am in the top more or less every boss.
They were at the top of DPS until the 5% nerf. Now should be in the top half easily as you have no cast times as a BM hunter and can continue DPsing while dealing with mechanics.
Alright must be me being bad then because mages rogues warlocks and dhs just destroy me dps wise.
I wouldnât say bad. Its just those classes are doing really well right now. DH and mage have insane aoe damage (which is handy as a lot of the uldir bosses spawn adds) and rogue/locks (with enough ramp up time) are excellent in single target damage.
BM hunter is sort of the middle road. good st , good cleave, good survivability and good utility. They are a âjack of all trades master of noneâ class.
Yeah I guess itâs just depressing not being able to top meters playing my main and without problem being top 5 dps on my alt.
In all honesty it must be something youâre doing. You shouldnât be struggling on taloc just mainly because of the movement and trouble melee have.
Im normally top 3 on that. Mother can be a bit different but I wouldnât say bm is bad at all atm⌠Itâs not the best but itâs up there
Well i am higher on taloc ofc i might be even top 5 i cant remember but my point is that average i feel like BM hunter is behind overall on dps i mean on zekâvos demonhunters and mages destroy with their burst. I just dont know what to do as hunter to keep up on âmostâ bosses in mythic i am for the most part in the middle of the pack beaten by mages, warlocks, rogues, demonhunters.
BM is very good for progression since it has very little downtime or movement penalty.
But in terms of pure dps output it isnt great. Thats why BM is often high in the charts in the beginning of the raid tier and then drops lower with time as people learn the fights and minimize downtime with specs that suffer alot more from it.
