BM no breath of fire build

It seems BoF has been discontinued from many talent builds
What’s your take on that? Yay or Nay?

I’m lukewarm about it. I have more energy to do other spells but I need to see in M+ how it’ll perform with less DR and less dot damage on mobs.
Charred legs was my 4th overall damage after all.

Brewmaster needs to be redone as a spec. I’ve tried the spec recently and i’ve got to say that its an abomination from what it was in MoP. Very sad state of design. Breath of fire is the one iconic Brewmaster ability that is left next to keg smash and more of less makes them stand out from the rest. They already removed Dizzying Haze a long time ago and Guard didn’t make it far either as an active ability.

It feels like a slow WW monk.

Yeah, my only complain would be the abysmally low self healing. With prot pala I just pop a word of glory here and there and go back full HP.
With monk I pop Vivify and the HP bar doesn’t look like it has moved. I need to wait 4 or 5 spheres to get some self heals

Personally I find playing without Breath of Fire extremely boring, to the point where I’m considering benching my Brewmaster and playing Mistweaver instead this season. I’m kinda miffed about it, we will see how I feel in a week or so.

:cry: it’s sad because that’s what happened to me too…. I went back to my prot paladin because of limited choices as brew and nobody bloody interrupts in pugs.

The BrM was already lackluster to play before this patch (and I play as a bear), however since their great boon I’ve found them unbearable, despite their good damage output.

The irony of begging for attention to it for so only only to shelf the spec once it got some is not lost upon me. :<

You don’t have to follow the meta spec unless you’re going to push very high keys, I do my 10s just for gear and I’m sticking to my preferred spec.

Exactly this, plus some people play better using their build, otherwise why give people other choices? My resto shaman also has some off choices, and it works for me !

For now I am trying to learn how to play, I watched Quazzi’s guide, but mostly seems to be about damage  .

I prefer to first know how to tank and stay alive, damage comes after. As they will remove WAs, I hope they will make things better since I don’ t know how to otherwise track Stagger and Vitality.

It was a bit jarring. But I got used to it!

Honestly not as bad as I thought. But indeed, you don’t need to switch! Especially if you understand the pros and cons. To me, I’ve been enjoying the new talents!
