All Black market auction houses are open to competition for people for either the same server or group of linked servers.
What I have been noticing is that boosting communities with deep pockets are selling BMAH items by exploiting the character creation of trial characters.
What follows is this, they ask the buyer to create a trial character.
This give the person 3 hours of played time on any server to log on at the end of an auction and be able to not only access the BMAH and be able to trade any amount of gold from the boosters/boosting communities.
This is clearly unfair to people from one server that need to contend with boosting communities with dodgy gold and people using them, at time with real money to get whatever amount they want to snipe any item on the BMAH.
Firstly: there is a reason why the maximum amount of gold one can transfert on a single character is 1M gold.
Secondly: Trial Characters must not be able to access the BMAH.
Thirdly: the BMAH should have a minimum level before a character could access it, otherwise these people could just circumvente this by creating level 1 characters and teleporting them with a warlock. Alternatively any new character cannot receive more than 100k gold in the first 24h /played.
Update:
nevermind. it seems people are ok with boosting communities managing everything in game. From Gladiator to pve mythic boosting.
Blizzard made it this way, let it be then.
Going to start heavily boosting with my guild all pve mythic content for gold, since this is what it is all about. and btw we will be shortcutting obviously.
I would like to thank everyone in this thread that contributed.
See you in azeroth.

You cant win vs boosters, the only way is to bid goldcap on everything.
Im saving up 9,999,999g to buyout a TCG tabard

You would have a chance if they didnt corner every server by exploiting trial characters and transfering unusually high amount of golds to these guys. If you only had to contend, as intended, to players from your own server, you would not be in such a situation.

Welcome to WoW. Your thread is 100% pointless because Blizzard is fine with boosting communities destroying their game. They only banned gallywix cause a guy snitched so if they ahd done nothing they’d look bad but Blizzard knew about the RMT part already very long ago. If you want an actual real game that feels like you are playing a game then I recommend look elsewhere.

go to any boosting communities discord, you will see.
here is one
there are many more I could link.
Boosters are the absolute worst of this community.

No. I meant sources that the gold is dodgy and that people use real money to buy items from the BMAH.
I understand that you are frustrated, but you shouldn’t claim that someone violates the terms of service without proper proof.

Hey, I used to boost stuff in late Warlords and Legion.
It’s good gold and it helps people get stuff! I don’t like the big communities for boosting too much, though. Too much shady stuff and trade chat spam going on with them.

I agree, with this thread.
Nothing that is happening is against the ToS, nobody is saying that but it certainly cant be what blizzard intended when they came up with the BMAH, and certainly isn’t the intended use of Trial toons either.
If you go to any boosting community, you will notice they use the same (discord) bots to advertise BMAH services and it is the same select few people who run the charade no matter where you go…
Gold swaps are fine and there nothing against the TOS against it, nor do I think Blizzard should ban it but if they just banned trial characters from placing bids on the BMAH they could get rid of 80% of the problems because level 20 starter level characters cant really use the majority of the items on the BMAH, just banning trial characters alone would tank the BMAH goblins business because most people aren’t probably going to server transfer/level a character on a server they dont want to play on just to bid on something they might lose, and then they are stranded on that server with nothing to show…
Introducing a minimum level isn’t a bad idea either but it shouldn’t be too high, I mean you shouldn’t need to be higher than level 60 to buy T3 pieces, but something reasonable could help as well…
Most importantly though just ban trials from bidding on the BMAH please, blizzard can do this because they have put other restrictions on trials and this one is badly needed as well.

No matter if Blizzard allows it or it seems helpful and a good trade, i still believe it’s morally wrong and essentially makes the game pay to win. I think with a score of 3k i can sell 15s but i refuse myself to do it because i have my own principles which look dumb and pointless to others, but i’m too stubborn and i don’t want to be part of what i think is a problem to the game.

Well, how do you legitimately transfert 9 M gold to a server you have no toon on, without going through blizzard guild transfert?
How in any way, shape or form, is it ok to allow temporary trial character to not only received massive amount of gold that no means blizzard is giving, gold of no provable legitimate source, into a character that is limited to 3 hours play?
How is any way is the competitive aspect of the BMAH respected when someone not from the server decide to abuse a system in order to corner a server they have no intention whatsoever in playing in?
I any case, I have informed blizzard of this issue, mail their hack team and informed those that ought to case directly. We shall see if this trial character silliness stay unafected.
Find someone to do a gold swap with, it isn’t a Blizzard supported trade, meaning if things go wrong blizzard won’t be able to help you get the gold back, but it isn’t against the ToS either.
How then are they able to be able to trade 9M and more on any server? Do you know how many servers there are? Do you really think one person with that amount of gold got it legitimately and you think that is how wow should be?
I have no issue whatsoever with a friend giving you 10 millions on your server to buy anything from the BMAH.
I have an issue with gold boosting operations cornering every server BMAH by abusing the trial characters to transfert massive sums to players that dont even belong to that server.
Do you see the nuance?
if you know where to look you can (usually) almost always find someone to move gold around, there are people who make bank just acting as a bank and pushing gold between servers. Of course these trades aren’t without risk and you should always do your due diligence before moving gold to another server but its not against the ToS to do so, nor should it be.
Like I said people parachuting to a server just to bid with a trial and use the BMAH there for convenience is a different issue and banning trials will go a long way to address that I firmly believe this. no one is going to bid on a plagued proto-drake with a fresh level 20, or well if they do they gotta get the character they bid with to level 70 so they can actually use the thing… that alone would put a big curb to the practice.
I always transfer my toon to low pop and snipe bmah containers there.
there’s literally no point in trying to buy it on draenor for 400k if I can get it for 100-150k on low pop.
“dodgy gold” btw. How do you make your gold? Doesnt really matter but I’m sure your method is also dodgy!!!1111

Boosting communities are just gonna find a way to ruin every aspect of the game aren’t they?

The gold is transferred through the same methods boost communities use to pay their players (in advance to popular realms) and through guild bank transfers on gold cap items. Nothing dodgy about it.
The dodginess is when money gets involved cough WOW Market
Thats all is I am asking for:
1: restricting trial character: no access to any auction house (normal one or BMAH)
2: A cooldown of 24h to access the BMAH for any newly created character, even boosted ones.
3: a restriction of 100 000 gold maximum that can be transfered between characters that are lower than level 60.
