Are there any plans to add Battle net app and WoW on Chrome OS?
Blizzard does not support Linux but you can play “usually” via Wine/Lutris.
Also right now only Tiger Lake G7 Chromebooks are capable of running WoW at acceptable FPS. Those are quite rare and expensive vs average Chromebook. Not to mention ~100GB of storage needed for the game.
Among ARM Chromebooks maybe the Snapdragon ones could run the Windows on ARM version of BNet and WoW. Hard to tell (still via Wine). The performance still will be lower than Tiger Lake.
Why would they even consider it? Chromebooks don’t have the CPU grunt to run WoW at a decent framerate, let alone a decent GPU.
Tiger Lake and upcoming Alder Lake ones could run it. But that’s a limited subset. It’s pretty much having a Linux native option, not directly for Chrome OS though…
